For those of you whose home parks are closed what do you do during the offseason? During the winter I ski around New York and in Canada and Vermont. My two pleasures of life Skiing and Coasters. Both give me thrills and are very fun. If you don't ski but love coasters try skiing!

How about you?

I have a lot of things to do. I snowboard here in New Jersey which can give you thrills like you said. I play RCT2. I watch construction of the new ride at my home park.

Work on my G scale model wooden coaster; Project 2034. The lift hill topped out at 36 inches (equals a 65 foot first drop) and is 7 feet long. Have to buy the chain and find a suitable electric motor to pull the 3lbs train up it. It is, as its name implies, a long term project which will take up many off seasons to come. Strictly speaking the off season here in the Ozarks does not start till the end of Decemember when Silver Dollar City closes till late March.

Virtually...well...nothing. Dont mean for me to sound overlly obsessed with coasters, but when your in the middle of red-neck country VA, there really isnt much to do.

If i take the time to travel 30mins or so, plus spend the $$, there is something to do in the more populated areas. But within a 15mile radius, all there is to do is go to the movies.

I go crazy.

But seriously tho I usually do nothing just like during the season. I don't have much of a life. But I can't really help it. I just got my license and my parents won't let me drive anywhere (then they complain that i don't do anything) plus we don't have an extra car for me to use if they did. But when I get the chance to do something I usually try to do it to keep me busy.

Well we aren't in off season yet here in Missouri. SDC is open until middle December, so I need a coaster fix I just head down there and hope that it is warm enough outside for Wildfire to be running. Please note that most of the time it's in the 60*s in the Ozark Mts this time of year.

Other than that - I try to find out the latest and greatest here in the heartland. Oh and Winter Conferences!!!

I dream about the day I might ride M:TR :)

Other than that, I enjoy the winter here in the Northwest, and look forward to the holidays.

I gives me plenty of time to plan out the next season. Of course, I'm already done with next season. Dang, now what?

I ski when I can. That's not too often, though, as I live on an Island.

I mentor high school students on my robotics team. We compete from January until April in one form or another.

I do technical theater work at school and in local theaters.

I play with my band. I play counter strike. I play rct-2. And Last But not least VICE CITY. I play alot of othergames which I won't waste space listing. I skateboard at fourseasons a year round indoor skatepark. Even though I never go anymore due to the fact that all patrons are immature tony hawk cronies with small d*cks but big attitudes and egos. I listen to music. I watch movies. DDR!!! Annoying my girlfriend at work. And oh yeah DDR!!!! Did I mention DDR!!!? I do almost all of these things if not more in the on-season aswell. It's not like going to parks consumes all your time.

I'm actually psyched for this offseason. We already have one CBuzzer gathering down...and we have many more planned. I'll be in Ohio a lot in the next few months, and if its anything like last weekend I won't miss the parks one bit. Afterall, the worst part of the offseason for me is the threat of not seeing my friends.

I basicly hibernate until April. My off season doesn't begin until after I visit SDC for the last time this year which would be about Dec 14th. Maybe later! Sometimes Winter can be dull here, warm weather with nothing to do.
