picutres in posts

I noticed a lot of people have asked about a picture section and your answer was "This site is a portal." Is that why we can't insert pictures in our posts? Is there a possibility we can get that feature or is it massively expensive?

Why is it neccesary. That is one of the things I like most about these forums, you don't have to browse through rubbage. Like pictures in signatures or avators. It is nice and simple.

I could add it, but it would be hard to police, and often make topics take forever to load. I get really pissed too when I see something of mine appear out of its original context (i.e., page), and that's why I had to implement anti-leeching software.

Long story longer, it'll never happen here.

RubberDucky, I think it would a good idea to add that feature because people are constantly messing up URL's. Copy and pasting a picture would save time and be easier. Then again Jeff makes a good point because people have dirty minds plus not everyone is on DSL or Cable.

If you want to see a forum where pics and avatars are completely out of control, try looking through local music websites. I'm telling ya, the last thing I want to see when I log on at work is an unexpected pornographic image.

Avatars don't bother me nearly as much as the people who put banners in their signatures. Honestly, I don't care that much about anyone posting in a forum to see that stupid thing ten times in the same thread.
