Jeff - I never, ever said it [making generalizations or stereotyping people] was right, as evidenced by the second part of that paragraph ["Hopefully most of us are self-aware enough to realize what we've done and realize there are always exceptions to the rule"].
Please do not quote me out of context.

I didn't say I inferred it was a teen. It could have very well been an adult. Track record though makes it appear to be written by a younger person though. If you take away stereotypes and generalizations, it is just an email by someone with poor sentence structure and grammar. Of course, the actual substance of the email does not seem to be of a reliable source. But, since generalizations and stereotypes are all around, it is kind of hard not to think about them. They affect the decision that someone makes. It's like car insurance. Why do teenage males pay more than teenage females? Simply put, past records have shown that they get into more traffic accidents than females and the insurance companies form generalizations and apply them to ALL teenage guys, regardless of a good record. They must prove otherwise before they are given a break.
On a side note, it is my opinion that this thread should be closed so we don't run the risk of having a big age and stereotype debate.

The lawsuit excuse is just a way to cover his/her ass because the pics of the 4-D simply do not exist. If a person was to show Jeff a picture in confidence [and I know Jeff would keep it in confidence] how would that get the author involved in a lawsuit? No one would know except the author and Jeff.
Its pure fiction.

'Moosh, how dare you besmirch the name of good fiction like that, LOL. The e-mail was pure, but it was BS....fiction is better than that....;). Sorry, just got done reading another Vonnegut, and THAT is "pure fiction"....and yummy, too!
Light-speed to Tralfamadore, don't stop for the asteroid belt....
Yeah! No one seemed to notice that I avoided pronouns whenever I could or simply said "he/she" so as not to assume the author was male. Of course we all really know it was a typical male teenager...LOL!
'Gator - you're right...BS is a better description ;-)

I think you all need to loosen up!
CoasterDad, yes PlayerPunk said he...I forget what the percentage of the members here at CB are male, but I know it's high. I remember, as a matter of fact, Jeff referring to Coaster Events as "sausage fests". LOL

Thanks Great America!
Don't worry Vipper, I wasn't referring to you.
CoasterDad - It was an honest mistake and if I knew by your screen name you weren't a dad, I would guess that you were some nitpicky teenager.
Once again, here's another generalization that I falsely made. I guessed it was a guy just because it seems that the majority of coaster enthusiasts are males. I am male, and I also made that generalization because if there is one thing women like to do, it's make it look neat. Not some thrown together mess with a bunch of spelling errors and capatilization mistakes. That still doesn't mean that it wasn't a female. Actually, now it is safe to say that we know absolutely nothing about this mystery writer.
I'll stop making generalizations, if everyone else does.
