Waking up to the tallest coaster in the country!!!

How many of you usually stay at on site resorts? I stayed at Hotel Breakers in August and loved it. I loved waking up and having MF right outside my window. I loved waking up at 5 (12 when I'm not at CP) in the morning and staring at the Power Tower Test runs where the cars go extremely slow up the towers and then come back down (takes like 1/2 hour per tower) and in amazement of the coaster heaven I was about to endure. If you stay at on site hotels have you ever had a cool coaster out your window?

I stayed at light house point way down by MS and it was cool gettin up and seeing maintenance walk the track and then hearing the music they play while they are doing it

I stay at the Breakers all the time. Personally, I think it is the best place to stay at the point. Last time I had a beach view room, but every morning I would walk over to the window in the hall and look outside towards the park. Corkscrew looks so tiny next to Power Tower.

I stayed at The Radisson Harbour Inn right before opening day this year. The only problem is that it's a mile and a half away, so no coasters are visible, nor were they lit up on 5/4.

Also, last time I went to Disney World I stayed at a resort...I don't think that one counts though.

Stay at Sandcastles at Cedar Point and request a Magnum View room. You can stand (sit) on your balcony and watch Magnum come rolling in to the pretzel turn and back out over and over just across the grass. Really one of the coolest "coaster rooms" at CP.

Dorney Park visits in 2002: 17

That sounds like fun, but MF is not the tallest coaster in the country, that title belongs to Superman: The Escape.

Ric Flair was hitting on the female host, he told her - "Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park, but it has the longest line." WOOOOO!

I have never been on either, but I think I would still rather wake up to MF weather it is the tallest in the world or not. That thing looks awsome, yet for me, it is much farther than a "walk in the park". Instead, it's a walk through a few states...:(

I stayed at Breakers for Labor Day weekend. I know exactly what your talking about. My favorite part was waking up at about 3 in the morning, and looking out the window and seeing it all lit up. Staying at the breakers makes the park seem so much better. I mean I could walk up and down the beach until I'm about 20-30 ft. away from Wicked Twister. The breakers is a very nice resort, and if anyone plans a trip to CP, I highly recomend staying at the Breakers. It made my visit so much better.

Not CP, but certain rooms at Universal's Royal Pacific are just across the canal from the Hulk. Its always nice to have that launch roar as an alarm clock if you oversleep.

So you stayed at Magic Mountain eh? ;)

I stayed @ Hotel Breakers in June. Magnum, Wicked Twister, and the beach were all outside my window :-)

I stayed in the hotel at Knott's unfortunately no coasters we're visible from the hotel room. Although you can see ghostrider from the lobby. I love staying onsite tho. You can wake up and walk right over to the park.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

I stayed at kingsdominion camp ground and we were all the way in the back and i got to see volcano and hyper sonic test. i was in heaven!!

When we stayed at Stateline in Nevada at Buffalo Bills. We requested a Desperado side room. The first drop went right in front of our window only about 10 feet away! That was pretty cool!

Yeah, CoasterPunk. I've stayed there as well. Cool room location!!!

I like staying at CP's resorts for the convenience, and we've enjoyed the "magnum view" rooms at Sandcastle. Although lately we've stayed at Breakers Express simply because it's cheaper.

I prefer staying at a park for the convenience, but SFGAm, MiA and PKI didn't have on site resorts. The hotel we stayed at for SFGAm was across the street from the park, and I could see DeJa Vu, Shockwave and Raging Bull from our window.

One time I stayed at Buffalo Bills Resort and my room was right next to Desperado's first drop. :)

I have stayed at The Breakers at CP, and it was a wonderful experience. I'm too lazy to get up for the test runs, but when I did wake up, I went out to the parking lot for a bit of fresh air. We stayed in the wing right by Soak City, so what assaulted my senses as soon as I stepped out of the doors? Oh, yes...

CLANG CLANG, CLA-CLANG, CLANGITY CLANG CLANG!

None other than the very distinctive sound of the chain lift on the best coaster I have ever ridden.

MAGNUM XL-200!

(And, yes, I've been on Millenium Force. It's good, but it just doesn't have that speed run back to the station.
