Closing weekend - My 1,000th lap

Myself included, some enthusiasts chose to count their laps on certain coasters. At the present, I am very close to hitting a big milestone: my 1,000th ride on Shivering Timbers. Now I realize that I still have 65 laps to go, and only two more days to accomplish this, but I am very certain that I can pull this off.

Quite a few of you have been very kind and supportive in my marathoning, and I thought it was only fair to give you some warning that I will be hitting this mark one week from today, on Timbers' last day of operation for this season. I would like to invite anyone who can make it out to the park Sunday to be on my 1,000th train. For those of you who won’t be there, I would like to thank you for all of your long journeys out to MIA in order to ride with me and support me:).

Kara, although I can't make it to MiA for your 1,000, I'd like to say congrats and good luck with Timbers in the future! You picked a great ride to ride 1,000 times! We are all happy for you and cheer you on the whole way!

I'll *try* to get up to MiA, could've went today, but had work... It'd be nice to just chill (or ride feverishly) at a park with Buzzers. Congrats on the 1000 rides. Even if you don't quite hit 1000, 936 is still a pretty big number. Now if I just got my act together and started tallying those Bull rides...

Congratulations, your so lucky to be able to ride Shivering Timbers so much. I wonder what the record is for most rides ever on one singe rollercoaster?

wow, i thought my 100 rides on Raging Bull was impressive...

Kara, I really wish I could be there, but I guess you'll have to hit 1000 without this "stalker" and favorite moron there to cheer you on. :( At least I got some rides with you the day of "Michigan: Impossible."

Good luck reaching 1000, and I hope that it's not in the green train, for God's sake. Congrats...you do realize that you've probably lost a brain cell for every ride you've taken on ST this summer, right?

Wow, 1000, it seems like only yeterday that I got to experience your 600th lap at Timberfest. Ok, ok, so I only got to tape it for you but I did get to ride #601! Woo Woo! I wish I could be there for #1000 but alas, I won't be able to make it back to MI until Timberfest 2k3.

Now, my math is a bit fuzzy but if you reach lap 1003, you'll also get #600 for the year, right? Damn that's a lot for a year! I'm not sure I have 600 rides total this summer! Alright I probably do but still, that's a lot of airtime. Anyway, congrats ahead of time. By the time I see you again, you'll probably be at lap #1756 or something.

1,000 rides on a single coaster? Dude, that rocks so hard! I'm pretty sure I haven't hit a thousand rides total yet. Maybe I'm around 300.
