My very own x model!

I am in the completeing stages of buuilding an x model, the seats rotate the same as the real thing and the whole model is the same as the real thing it has taken me 8 months, but my god is it rewarding,, i have followed almost every detail of the monsteritself, it took me 2 months to get the seats right in looks and rotation itself!

I think there is no model he is just pulling our legs. Why wont he put photos of it up? The reason wh0y I'm saying this look at his grammer in the post.

Some people do not have access to digital cameras and the like, and i find it quite childish that you are making judgements just because i joined today. I have been reading these boards for quite a few months and have found no need to join and now i am in the finishing stages of building my model i have the need to notify you all, but think as you want,

Fine, take normal photos of your model and get a picture CD when developing. Show us the photos that way. Why notify us of your model if you're not going to show us?

Whats wrong with you guys? He just wanted to say he is building a model. Pictures would be nice but I believe him either way.

So he's telling us he built a working model of X, it took him 8 months of hard work and now he does not want to take any pictures of it or show it off to us. Sounds strange does it not?

no actually it was not hard work for 8 months, i work in new york so thats 5 days a week and on the week ends i would usually work on it. I am also not a show off, im not bothered if everyone doesnt see it. All my friends and family have seen it so whats in it for me, i think you will find the answer is nothing.

then why even tell us if you have no proof, its just a waste of space and time to make this forum for just saying something that you can make up, I can say that I made a wooden coaster in my backyard, but if you don't have proof, theres no way to determine the realism. PROVE IT!

Exactly, without pictures you lose credibility. Therefore this thread can go nowhere until you can provide us with proof.

Why should I, I was just letting you know of my achievment and in no way or form am i going to go to trouble to settle your synical minds. I may create a webpage about the construction of my model and the way in which it works, but that is my decision and I will not be forced to do things by the rude people on this forum, howeverif you think like this then surely you cannot read or believe a lot of things that are posted on coasterbuzz. I am now going to let the matter rest as this is goin no-where as i am not going to go to the trouble of taking, developing and displaying photos of my model.

Wow that must have been a lot of hard work. I can't wait to see it when it's done. How did you get everything to rotate at the right time?

I understand that not everyone has digital cameras. Do you have a scanner? You could scan the pics on the computer. Or you could use that CD picture thing. The only reason I'm suggesting this is because you said that you have been reading the forums for a long time and have never had any reason to join. Now that you model is almost complete, you thought it would be necessary to notify everyone. Maybe you should have waited to get pictures on the computer. It's not that big of a deal. I'll take your word for it and hope that you finish soon. Good luck!

i got everything to rotate at the right time by having metal bars in the centre of the track in the places i wanted the cars to rotate. I then have a catch on the bottom of each car made of metal which allows electricity to flow into the circuits for each car and powers the motors which in turn rotate the cars. The reason the adjusting of the cars took so long is because i had to adjust the length of the rods to shorter and longer to decrease and increase the amount of rotation so that the position of the car is right for the next section of the ride

I have to say, I was a bit skeptical until I heard that explanation on how you got the seats to rotate! Still, I cant believe you 100% because of no proof, but that sounds awesome. Congratulations on your achievment and if you ever get the chance, show us some pictures of your work! I know that I would love to see some.

Wow! That sounds quite complicated. Hey, if it turns out really good, you could probably get some press. I'm sure the media would love to see something like this.

How do you get the seats to rotate in both directions? I can see how it would work for one direction (although I would think it would be very complicated), are you able to reverse the polarity of the ciruit to rotate the other direction? Also, how did you work the common?

Man, this is funny stuff. I actually found this topic a waste as well. The fact that you are telling us you made a model of X without proof or anything. And, without pictures, I don't think anyone is going to care, like I. Stop defending your reasoning for not showing pictures and just delete this topic because its a waste of bandwidth.
