Tilt Coaster Questions

I did a search on this and didn't find anything. I saw a show and it showed the track moving into the vertical position while the train goes down. Could someone tell e exactly what they are.

They are Vekoma's it makes a more thrilling experience and provieds a 90* drop.

Can you describe this coaster a bit better, or perhaps post a link of some sort? Sounds cool, but I can't quite visualize it.

I remember that coaster now, I saw it a while back somewhere. I still think it's really cool. Anyone else think 56 seconds is short, even for a Vekoma?

Whoops, that's the max speed. But yeah, 56 seconds on a Vekoma is about 46 too long. Too bad it's SBNO.

I believe this ride is in operation. There's a spread on it in the latest Roller Coaster! mag, which includes some great pics of full trains of happy riders. And RCDB reports it as operating.

what makes the track tilt? did you take the time to look at the pictures or do you just like to ask stupid questions? do you not see the huge pivot point on the tilt section of the track? and it looks like a lame idea for a coaster, probly very overated, and personally id rather be strapped into vipers harness then thoes painfull looking things

Ummm...asking if the track tilts isn't such a stupid question. I was wondering myself.

On another note, I think it would be fun, because the brakes on the tilting thing would hold you in place THEN drop you. Besides, it's a new type of coaster, and if any popular, someone else will attempt it. I know Giovonala(sp?) is working on something like it. It sounds more interesting though.

actually djhush, maybe you should have taken the time to read the post...He didnt ask if the track tilts, he was asking what makes it tilt(motor, hydraulics, etc...).

Anyways, I think the tilting drop would definately add to the thrill factor. Whether or not that makes it a good ride, I wouldnt know. But I would love to get a chance to ride one!

Stupid people suck, and thats all I'm gonna say.

So is the drop really vertical at 90 degrees? If so, wouldn't that make this the steepest full circuit "traditional chainlift" coaster? Although I admit, offhand i can't think of a traditional coaster that tilts like that.

The whole tilting motion must be pretty intense :)
