1)No, SFDL's S:ROS doesn't have several overbanked turns. It doesn't even have one.
2)Most will probably agree that the Mr. Freeze clones (1998) were first with overbanked turns
3)IMO, B&M invented it with their inclined helix in 1996 on Mantis - but I don't expect anybody to agree with me on that!

I just happen to live a few blocks away from Speed, saw them construct it, spoke directly with some Premier Techs as well as Sahara higher ups, attended media day.
To be more specific, it's banked at 107' degrees. Only for a split second, but that's the number I was given.

Would the inclined helix on Mindbender count at SFoG? If so then it would be one of the earliest at 1978.

The turn on speed is not overbanked! An overbanked turn has to be over 90 degrees! The one on S:RoS above is 120 degrees. Intamin invented these. Flat loops are not considered over-banked turns!

Of course, if I was a butt-nugget like Natedude318, I'd go back even further than Mantis and say that ARROW created it with the so-called "cutback" on the former Drachen Fire coaster!

Not to add fuel to the fire, but Intamin's Spacediver [now sitting as Flashback at SFMM] has overbanked turns, especially the one before the dive into the helix. That was built in 1985.
But to be technical, wasn't it Intamin who actually used the term "overbanked turn" first? I don't recall Premier using that term to describe that feature on Mr Freeze.
