Six Flags-Its everywhere you want to be...sadly
Wow...what a hypocrite.
I think the most unexpected thing that SFWoA has done is bought the Sea World side. I wasn't expecting that for atleast like 5 years...then bam...I thought it was just a joke at first. That was an amazing day...opened up sooo many possibilities.

SFGAm actually DROPPING admission prices a few bucks 2 years ago.
WHOA....I still can't believe SF would drop prices. That's just too un-SF. Whoever pushed that through probably got fired the next day for breaking SF's golden rule: rip the guests off at all costs (no pun intended).

Seriously though, I think that most unexpected thing was the location of MF. I don't think anyone could have imagined a ride of it's magnitude placed where it is, but the park made it happen. Let's just hope they surprise us again with some crazy design with their next coaster.

I have to agree with you there, Chris if that is indeed the case.
I can't say Xcelerator was totally unexpected. I had been piecing together elements of the ride for a while prior to the announcement.
What was unexpected about Xcelerator was the depth of its theme. I certainly didn't expect such a first class theming job to be done, but it sure was! Classic cars around the ride and in the queue, old auto parts and repair shops. And those damn sexy trains! I really didn't think the theme would be as elaborate as shown in the concept art, but boy was I wrong!
