Why is Talon getting so much attention?

Okay first off I am not downing this coaster. I can see the hype for things like Millennium Force and Project Stealth but why is this one getting so much attention. It isn't the tallest or fastest. It doesn't have the most inversions. It doesn't have different inversions so why is it so popular

One of the best inverted rides I've been on is Batman at SFGAm. I don't care that it's small or has seven hundred "clones," it's just a great ride.
Talon could be the next great design. Its layout is a sort of mix between Raptor and the Batman clones, but small enough to fit anywhere.
Anyone who thinks that a ride has to break a record to be world class hasn't been on enough rides to make that call. Ask anyone who has been on a small CCI or a shorter B&M.

I am a Dorney fan through and through, so I guess you can say I am biased, but there are plenty of reasons to hype this coaster. I will state the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
1.) It is a B&M inverted coaster. What is there not to like to this? Speed, smoothness, and one wicked layout will make this an extremely enjoyable ride.
2.) Inversions don't make the ride. You cannot find yourself being narrow minded and not liking the ride because it does not have as many inversions as Raptor or Alpengiest. The twist and turns that will be part of this unique ride will ensure plenty of disorientation.
3.) Records do not make the ride. When I first became an enthusiast and had no clue of what I was talking about, I would base my opinions souly on the stats. A ride does not have to be tall, fast, and monumental to be good. An just to let you know, it will be the longest, tallest, fastest inverted coaster in the Northeast when it opens.
4.) This is a gigantic step for a medium sized park like Dorney. We are not talking about CP, PKI, or MM. This is a smaller amusement facility that is taking a big step in the right direction. The ride is slated to cost several millions more than Steel Force, which is a world class coaster.
5.) Shouldn't we as enthusiast try to hype every coaster? YES!!!! We love the rides. We should get as excited as possible and love each and every aspect of the rides. I understand some nitpicking based on preferences, but no matter what, you should get off a coaster with a smile on your face and a skip in your step.
6.) Uniqueness. You are looking at a totally original ride. Although the inversions might be similar to Great Bear, the ride will be in a league of it's own. The way in which it will interact with the new midway (crossing over it at three different spots) will be extremely cool.
7.) You can learn a lot from this coaster. It will be a GOOD coaster. A little short, but WHO cares! Usually the short ones can be much better than the long ones. Personallly, I think the tight turn after the immelmen is going ot be WICKED! Too bad I will probably won't get to ride it in a while.

Chitown wrong. First of all yes most of my post are about Cedar Point but if you think I am going to down any other park, unless I have been to it, you are wrong. Cedar Point is my home park and so most of the time it will be the only thing I talk about. Oh but I could go one to say Dorney Park is crap because it small and things like that, but I don't know I have never been there. I rather comment on what I know than what I don't. All I was doing is wondering why is coaster is getting so much attention. I mean usually, roller coaster that break records or the are just really big get this much excitement not just medium sized coaster like this. I am not going to say it is a bad design because its not. Its about time we are not seeing a clone. I got the answer to my question though, thank you. But before you make a point, you better check your facts.

inverted_one, the trims on Raptor, and indeed many coasters, exist to get the dispatch interval right and to prevent setups. If you or any other person out there can feel the difference that trimming two or three seconds off of a ride makes, then you're a better person than I.

It's the best thing since sliced bread because it was the first thing to slice through some invented-round-number of "feet high."
The North Coast needs something to beat their chests about; they can't ride most of the year. ;)
And before anyone goes ballistic, I am a born and raised and devout "North Coaster!"
What will define "great" coasters in the future? Some folks are entrenched in numbers--350, 400 feet? Or is it "drop angle?" If Hypersonic rips at 90 degrees, will it "slice the bread" next? Even if its short or unappealing visually from the ride (after the drop, of course)? Or will it be just the sheer, beasty length of the thing that will make it "great?"
For me, its the entire experience, from the moment you enter the queue, until you finish exiting the ride.

You don't need inversions to have a fun coaster. Not in the least bit. Inversions are the least of my criteria when evaluating a coaster - they simply don't really appeal to me. I would ride S:ROS or Magnum or any good wooden coaster (SoB excepted), none of which have inversions, before I'd go on a coaster primarily because it has a lot of inversions. I'm not saying that being flipped all around and upside down isn't fun - I'm just saying that they don't have to be present for a coaster to be fun.

I think most of the hype is due to the web cam. Lets face it it's just cool checking back every few hours or every day to see the progress. Although many people won't be getting to Dorney next season to ride it they may just feel the connection with the coaster from the web cam.

I think the web cam helps, but I think a lot of it just goes to show that Cedar Fair is willing to build inverted in their smaller parks. (IE anything other then the Point)
This gives people who's park is Valleyfair or Worlds of Fun hope that they can expect something other then a standard sit down coaster. (Not to knock Mamba or Wild Thing)

For me there is one word that tells what a coaster must have to be good and the more the better: "Feeling". You have to be able to feel the G's and the speed. I really didn't get this on Alpengeist or Raptor, but Top Gun at Carowinds is incredible as I can actually feel the speed and the G's. The same goes for Volcano, Apollo's Chariot, Magnum, and Millennium Force.
