I just wanted to see people's responses on what type of ride they like better wood or steel. I personnaly like both kinds of rides.

I tend to prefer steel due to the fact that steel roller coasters are able to have more different types of elements. But, a good out-and-back wooden coaster is fun anyday.

Wood no question about it.It delivers a different ride every time you ride it.

Depends on the design.
It could go either way.
ie...
CP= steel (magnum)
KI= wood (beast)

Steel.. I'm a modern guy.. I'm into high tech stuff. I love looping and higher heights. I also love the smooth ride.

Airtime. =)

Seriously. Fave steel is Magnum, fave wood is Shivering Timbers - both airtime machines.

I give the tentative nod to steel, just because I get too many headaches on woodies.

Both steel and wood.

Favorite Steel Coaster: MONTU

Favorite Wood Coaster: MEAN STREAK (maybe SOB; when it opens):)

I like em both but if I had to chose I'd take a nice looping steel coaster over a woodie.
My favorite steel is: Raptor
and my favortie woodie is: SFMM Psyclone (keeping in mind that I've only been on a couple woodies.)

My favorite steel is the Raptor
My least favorite steel is the Corkscrew on account that it is too short and beats the tar out of you.

My favorite woodie is the Beast
My least favorite woodie is the Mean Streak.
After the first drop (which is pretty good)it is 2 minutes of pure boring.

Coast on-- coasterbuff--jc :)

Everybody hates the Corkscrew!!!!!!! What is up with that? Gosh, that baby was the first to have 3 inversions. Am I the only one out there who apprieciates Arrow loopers!!???

I like Corkscrew. Fun little airtime pop on the second hill, before the loop. It doesn't mug you nearly has harshly as, say, Steel Phantom...

Since we've drifted to favorites:

Favorite wood: Coney Island Cyclone (runners-up include KW's Thunderbolt and Jackrabbit, KI's Beast)
Favorite Steel: SFGAdv's Medusa (CLOSE runner-up CP's Magnum; funny thing is generally I'm NOT a big fan of loops, and I place Magnum FAR above any steel coaster with inversions OTHER than Medusa. Maybe I just fell for the floorless "gimmick", but I really liked that ride ;) )
