Cancled Coasters

Jazzland cancled the Verkoma SLC. Because of the MA buyout the Hyper got put onto the back burner.I was wondering what other coasters got the axe or put onto a lower priority list because of the state of the economy.

I don't know. That one kid wanted to start his own amusement park and we haven't heard anything from him about it recently. ;)

Astroworld was getting a CCI. CCI had a drawing at IAAPHA a year or 2 ago.

Peabody, do you (or anyone else, for that matter) have a decent description, or better yet, pics/drawings of the layout of that SFAW CCI. My "hunch" is that this MAY be the same design as the coaster that ended up as Cheetah, a very goode mid-size IMO.

P.S. I have nothing good to base this on, other than the odd timing...but before Cheetah, the nearest CCI was practically on the moon!

I think sf gradv was to get a cy"clone" but didnt after curtis summers died Anyone know for sure

Of course there are always the rides that wouldve gone into the parks that were canceled like disney in virginia and land of oz

Perhaps we can band together to get SFMM to ship SFGAdv their Psyclone. I would be happy to help get rid of that horrible excuse for a coaster! So then they could replace it with something (ANYTHING!) else.

My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

LoadedG how bout you send it to SFWoA? They could trade you Raging Wolf Bobs and you'll get to ride an even worse excuse for a coaster. I myself liked Psyclone, it did beat me up a bit but with some new PTC's I think it would be perfect :)

I believe there were actually a couple of Six Flags parks that were meant to get a CCI (Astroland and SFMM included) that pulled out of it after the problems Six Flags had with Medusa (SFM).

Then, of course, there's the Valleyfair B&M inverted coaster.

SFM was going to get a Morgan hyper this year, but the Mexcian government caught them doing something without clearance (I think they were already clearing land.) The city banned them from building it. Too bad, too. There can never be enough hypers in the world.

SFWOA Cancelled their 2002 Coaster , becuase the neighbors Didn't want near them.

You really need to get some more BRAN in your diet

I believe that BGW was going to get a B&M (something like Kumba), but they used the space for DF. I guess that was one bad decision BGW made. Just think of their line up if they had a Kumba type ride along with their other great coasters!!!

Okay, "cancelled" was the wrong word to use without clarification. It was postponed - cancelled for 2002 - but you're right, it's not gone for good.
