28 million pounds for a vekoma inverted !!!!!!

Yes okay it's going to be huge, but 28 million pounds, thats about 40 odd million dollars, seems a lot of money considering Air is costing 10 million pounds and Collossus 12 million. /B>/B>/STRONG>/P>

Joe E. : I think you might have been trying to do currency in the Euro, which... if costed 29 million Euros, would equal about 20 million American dollars.

Just one question... is this a SUSPENDED coaster like those Arrow suspended ones, or is it actually an inverted coaster like the typical SLC's? The web site says suspended, but the track looks like an SLC.

The other question remains... will this be a new generation of SLC's for Vekoma? More comfortable restraints? Completely new trains?

That is alot of money for a Vekoma. I would have gone with a B&M and spent the extra few million...atleast with that you get a sure-fire product.

How much extra do you think it would be?

Well isnt the ground VERY soft where the coaster is going, if so then that would make the price extremely higher, than if it was on normal ground

Wow....this actually sounds pretty fantastic to me.  I love the feel of the Invertigo's and I think they're very fun.  I thought that Deja Vu (at least the SFMM version) was utterly fantastic in every way.  I think it will be grea to see what Vekoma can do with a apparently very large, full curcuit SLC type ride.  Remember guys, the days that the standard SLC was designed was a long time ago and since then, Vekoma has done some really fantastic stuff.  Combine the new engineering with very reliable technology (the SLC's are very reliable) and you have a ride which I predict will be stupendous.   Anybody got a layout floating around?

A 265' inverted coaster could bet to be about that expensive, it all depends on what you include in the price.  The park is obviously rather liberal with the truth.  The coaster would have to be another hundred feet taller to reach the kind of speeds that they are talking about.
