I saw them. The Ten Best Coasters part was a little disappointing. The Cyclone was #2! What happened to Hyper Sonic XLC! Medusa! Dueling Dragons! The Hulk! Montu! Those are Ultimate Coasters! The superman: ulitmate escape doesn't look all that thrilling to me. I haven't gone on it yet so i really have no opinion so....... I wonder were X, Deja Vu and Nitro will place?!?

Yeah, I saw the shows. I would have to agree with you on that Top 10 show as well. It was a pretty pathetic list compared to what it should have been. Don't get me wrong, there were some good rides on it though. As for Superman at SFMM, yeah, it has to be the most overrated ride in the world. The ride is over in a blink of the eye. SFMM is even my home park, but I rarely even waste my time going to the summit to ride it.
I see what you are saying. I don't get why they don't come out to SFGAm. They had Batman and Viper on there. We have Batman and their Viper is our Shockwave just we don't hug the lift for the two loops. Our Viper is a woodie, but they probably wouldn't care about that

It would be nice if one of these shows would take some footage from parks that they don't have yet. I love watching all the shows and I really liked the top ten even if I didn't agree, I got to see some rides I don't normally see. For instance, I am so sick of looking at Superman Ultimate Escape. It is so boring to watch on T.V. I did appreciate this week being able to see some PKI footage.
I agree Pete. Since we did have the first inverted (Batman) and the first Hypercoaster (Raging Bull) and we were the first park to have 3 B & M's at one time (Raging Bull, Batman, Iron Wolf). Cant they at least give us credit for that?

I see your point. But, if they can goto Cedar Point for MF, SFGAm is a stop along the way! And the 3-D thing? I wish they'd not focus on it so much . I bought a DVD that was 10 minutes of coasters then 50 minutes of 3-D. I bought it for the coasters and to see what they'd show/say, not for the 3-D which wasn't even mentioned in the description.

On one of the shows (from 98 or 99) a guy from Arrow was talking about how if you can spin your riders it can almost be like a 4th demension, and now (well, almost now)we have X.

ravenguy98: I think he meant the first hypertwister, and that's what SFGAm advertised the Bull as being, but I think Fujiyama(sp?) is the first Hypertwister anyway.
On to the shows...Does anyone know why the TLC shows focus mostly on CP, SFMM, and Florida? I know they occasionaly have some PGA, PKI, or Coney Island footage, but that whole list would be redifined if they went to SFGADv, SFGAm, or KW.

I saw the end of the Top Ten show ending with MOM and MF. Haven't been to RB, (yet - the ever present qualifier), so I'd have to say Goliath is my only real hypertwister, and based on my considerable B&M experience, I'd say my top three of S:RoS, Goliath, then Millie will go unchallenged. If B&M ever develops a 2-across train...(thoughts deleted for content by author, LOL). SFMM and O-Town get more press for several reasons. Both have great weather year-round, both already have movie-industry facilities set up. O-Town is an international destination and has loads of amusement history (thanks, Walt, happy 100) and SFMM is battling for coaster supremacy...CP has even more history and ha been recognized for their coaster collection for some time now. Kennywood, recognized on the National Register of historic places AND a fantastic collection of the GOODS...(old woodies, yum)! PKI - cutting edge innovations AND the most wooden coasters in the US. (won't argue BEST here...). PGA got on THAT show for Stealth - which was the first and only that year...and is a pretty good innovation for the industry (just ask SFoG - 5 hours away)! As for CI Cyclone, the ride that provides the heart to the city that never sleeps, RIDE that coaster and you'll NEVER forget it...
Oh, last note: Moonsault scramble exceeded 200' in '83...not that the trains did since it's a shuttle...but ONLY Americans give a &^*@ about a measurement that is meaningless throughout the rest of the world...

They actually had some SFOT footage on one of the shows. They had Mr. Freeze (yes, it is the one at SFOT. You can see the mine trains on the POV part), Texas Giant and Shockwave (when it had white track and yellow supports). And they had to have the accident on Roarin' Rapids...at least they mentioned it was the first patron death in the park's history.

I saw it, it looked pretty cool. I wish they had done the top like 20 or so, but that BUZZSAW ride that was at #8 was pretty cool, I had never seen that type of ride before except on RCT. I wished that they would have also done top ten wood and top ten steel. I like watching old wooden coasters.

I agree that they need to show some more parks all three shows they had on there only really showed Cedar Point and SFMM. I hated on the second show how they said to find a equal invert to Raptor you would have to live west of the colorado rockies were you would find Batman: The Ride at SFMM, which isn't true because the first Batman was at SFGAm and theres plenty of great inverts in between and plenty of Batman the rides! In my opinion I don't think they should even make the shows if they aren't going to take the time to research it and take polls to really find the greatest coasters, because until they do that all they will show is SFMM and Cedar Point over and over and over again.

Did anyone notice that during comercials, when they showed the promo for the next show, that they continuously mis-spelled one of the shows, spelling it "TRILL"? I watched all the shows, and I found it amuzing that TLC would make a simple spelling mistake like "GREATEST TRILL RIDES"
