Did you see the roller coaster shows on TLC?

I liked the Ultimate 10 show I dont like how they did the choices though........like they put Riddlers Revenge is #10. They should of put some newer coasters like the Hulk or X- Flight or something. One question....Does Valcano go up the immelman really slow? I guess the camera made it look like it was goiing that slow up the mountain.
Well, Millenniumrider, not to be picky, but you misspelled (no dash in between) amusing. So there you go. My recommedation is if you're going to pick on someone for their spelling, check your own first:)

SFA 2002-What are they building?

I caught a few of those shows...

Since when was a guy named Ric Turner the president of the American Coaster Enthusiasts?

Me too, that's why my favorite coaster show is still "Great Old Amusement Parks."

These TLC shows are really getting tiresome with the degree of sameness they have. I don't need to see STE anymore and I have no interest in overblown arcades and simulators.

Then you probably shouldn't watch the shows. They don't air these shows for seasoned enthusiasts who know just about every ride at every park anyway. They're for the casual fan, who wouldn't know Superman from Batman.

I don't think that the Yankee Cannonball and Lakeside Cyclone have the ability to get TV ratings like a 400+ foot tall launched freefall ride.

Its too bad, because I think that, if people had the chance to experience both, many would go for the classic woodies!  I know I would.

The second show was so retarded.  It was basically just an advertisement for Magic Mountain and Cedar Point.  For the best sit down looper, Viper was the winner.  What about Kumba?  And for the best invert, Raptor(which is probably correct) and Batman:The Ride at SFMM.  What about Montu or Alpengeist.  I know that this show was at least from '97 because that is when Superman the Escape came so all these rides were in existence.  Then the rest of the show was on thrill simulators.  I didn't really enjoy this show(obviously:)) What did u think?

Paramount Carowinds: Forgotten but not Gone

I hate when they have the shows and they say this is the future of the amusement park and they show a boring 3-d ride. If that is our future amusement park there would be no point of and amusement park we would never leave our house!!!
Very true. 3D rides don't deserve to be associated with Coasters! I play Video games better than 3D rides (SuperSmashBrothersMelee!) 3D rides are 2 minute rides for people who don't like roller coasters.   Thrilling=Coasters

Fun for 2 minutes=3D rides
