On ride sponsorships...
A ride sponsorship usually has nothing at all to do with paying for the ride. The sponsorship is merely an agreement between the park and the sponsor where the sponsor pays an agreed-upon fee (cash or in-kind) to the park in exchange for an association with that particular attraction.
For this reason, sponsorships can (and do) change and shift. A ride sponsored by Alltel this year might be sponsored by Kellogg's Froot Loops next year, and by nobody at all the following year. If you consider each ride as a separate billboard, rather than thinking of it in terms of the advertisers paying for the attraction, it makes a lot more sense.
