The game is really tight, but I really hope they do A LOT of work on it. I have a 500MHz PII ATI Rage video card. It works great only it will let me ride up the lift then stop and freeze. I did get ride the coaster though, I just had to wait until it cleared the lift. I think the game will be good as long as they fix the bugs.

Good Lord! This is the GREATEST game. It's got so much potential... it's just so damn confusing. I still don't know how to make turns very well, but with all the options there are, the possibilities are endless. I'll be first in line to hand my money over for a completed copy of this game. :)

Yes!  I've finally mastered the controls.  The key to building good drops is making them out of two to three track segments each, and then extending those...this allows the computer to create all the smooth transitions.  I built an awesome 418 foot hyper today, that I'd estimate is about 9-10,000 feet long.  The good thing is that it's packed with good elements, and great airtime.  It took a lot of trial and error, but I can make decent loops, great zero-G rolls, great helices, and even the incredible non-inverting corkscrew bunny-hop!

The bad: I found that this thing does not clear itself out of virtual memory.  After playing for extended periods of time, it eats your page file away until there's nothing left.  Hopefully this bug will be fixed before the final release.

This simulation is incredible, though, and I can't wait until all the bugs are worked out and we can do all sorts of different coaster types.  I can't wait to do inverts!!!

I just found one more bug... Everything was working this morning, I played the game, built a nice coaster. Then I went to work, now I and home and it won't run. I get a error message that reads "Sync. Out of Range". I get that message instead of the menu.

UPDATE UPDATE

Goto www.nolimitscoaster.de

In the latest update, Ole Lang found out that Scream Machines has ripped off some of his textures for his coaster demo.

Personally, I find this highly unfair and a form of stealing! Anybody agree with me?

No Limits is supposed to be the far superior version of a rollercoaster simulator. If there are competitors stealing textures, models, or even engines (like a 'Quake III engine', just as a rough example), then it just ruins the chances of the superior program from making it on the market.

I feel that ALL US COASTERBUZZERS should e-mail or boycott this Scream Machines, and let whomever created the program know exactly what they did was wrong and to change it immediately.

I would much rather wait 2-3 more months for No Limits Coaster rather than get some other cheesy buggy rollercoaster demos in the meantime!!!!

Anyone agree??

Ug.  Just go to Danimation(www.danimation.com) to hear this whole texture stealing argument.

Forums, RCT+More, Coaster Continuum, then there is a million of these topics.

Please don't make rash assumptions just based off of what Ole said.

I really like the demo...I have already built a few nice hypers. I am starting to get the loops and corkscrews down. I will buy the finished version....

Hmm, I never think of looking at different sites for their forums... quite different...

Even so... I don't know what to judge, but there's no reason the creator of No Limits should lie. The main beef of Scream Machines is the horrid camera handling as well as editing some of the pieces together.

One last thing I should add as an addition. Checking Ole Lang's No Limits site... he all of a sudden removed the statement that the textures were stolen....
Hmmmm... Maybe he took a closer look at the inferior product? I don't know... but hey... if we can have 2 coaster creation simulations, all the more power for us!!!

I just downloaded the demo but need direct x 8.0 to run it.However when I went to the site to download it I just get a listing for direct x 8.0a.What is the difference between the two? Is direct x8.0  the same as direct x 8.0 a?

Well I got the demo to work. The only problems are how do you rotate the camera to see what you are building and how do you change from an uphill climb to a drop? And has anyone else gotten an illegal operation error message? That keeps happening to me.I load the game and everything seems fine and then 10 minutes later I get that error message. The game has a lot of potential.I can't wait till the full version is released.By the way Directx 8 works fine with RCT.I remember hearing that some people were having trouble with it messing up their game but it works fine on mine.

The camera work sucks on Scream Machines. I finally got my GeForce3, and it now looks correctly how it should (unlike with the Voodoo board)...

It's all controlled by the arrows with the mouse on the screen (I think it's the last button up on the top of the screen that brings up the camera).... you can set it locked, where it will help rotate around the area you are working with, or unlocked where you can more freely move around.

Personally, that is my biggest quirk with the game... the camera. It's not a freely movable camera, so it just hampers the game by ohhhh... 7 points... which lowers my score on this demo/game to like 2 stars out of 10. It has potential, but the sound sucks, and the camera control is autrocious (if that is spelled correctly)

The other problem I have is right when I build at least half way down the first drop the game cuts off on me.at least I can ride the coasters that are already in the saved track file.I must 've ridden medusa like 20 times in a row.
