Lake Compounce worth a trip?

This saturday, I can either go to SFNE or Lake Compounce, which should i pick? I am leaning toward Lake Compounce because Superman is closed but I haven't really been to either of these parks recently. If i go to Lake compounce what are the lines like, is it okay that i am going there on a Saturday or will it be packed, and is there Boomerang ride and Boulder Dash Open(actually all of their roller coasters). Thanks

Two words: Boulder Dash. Nuff said. ;) If S:ROS was open, I would say go there, since that coaster seems to be the ultimate hypercoaster ever built, but BD looks like an AMAZING CCI. :)
ive gone to both parks and since superman is closed i would go to compounce. boulder dash is s really fun ride evn though there is nothing great about it. i do think all three of there coasters are open.
I would go to SFNE, because SROS is closed, the park won't be busy and you should get loads of rides on the awesome Cyclone. Boulder Dash has no airtime, and there is nothing else worth going on at Lake Compounce, wheareas SFNE has alot more rides.

You have a problem.
Here's why: Grant says Boulder Dash has no airtime while I emphatically disagree. It has lots of it! So, now what do you think?
Anyway, do the Lake because S:ROS is shut down.
Lines will be shorter. Of course, there is not all that much else there 'cept BD.

Go to The Lake. Boulder Dash is over-rated IMO but is still a good ride. It will probably be less crowded than SFNE even with S:RoS closed. A day at The Lake should be more relaxing and laid back, unless you like obnoxious crowds.
Both places are good in their own way.

SFNE has a lot of rides. More coasters, more flat rides and more water rides. I don't think it will be any less crowded now that SROS is closed (maybe a little less crowded). The lines for the rides that are still open will be longer since SROS is closed. IMO, I think that a trip to SFNE without SROS is missing something, especially if you've come a long way or you haven't been there in a while.

The Lake is a nice relaxing park. I was there for the first time on Sunday and I liked it. It was a nice change of pace from SF. I thought the food was even pretty good. They don't have many rides in comparison to SFNE. Wildcat, Zoomerang and BD were all open and the only one that had any sort of line was BD. I got 8 rides in on BD. I enjoyed it immensely. I experienced some great airtime on it (mostly floating). I rode the front of the first car, the back of the last car and the front of the second car. I found the front of the first car to have the best airtime.

If it were me, I would save SFNE until SROS is opened again. I am biased though, since I live pretty close and I've been to SFNE many times whereas I've only been to the Lake once.

68 coasters ridden (so far)of which 23 are wood and 45 are steel.
I think i will go to Lake Compounce. Whar are the lines like on a saturday there? and is the wildcat a good ride?

I went there for the first time in July and loved it. Its a great little park! Bolderdash is awesome. I am lucky to say that I got to ride two of the greatest CCI's this year in Shivering Timbers and Bolderdash. In my book Bolderdash has a slight edge. Anyway get to Lake Compounce!
Go to LC cause SROS is closed. BD is awesome and it is never very crowded there. Wildcat should be a walk on and is a fun OLD coaster. It is worth it to ride BD though.
I would say Lake Compounce. Maybe my trip reports will help you too.
when i went on a sat on may 21st it was a complete walkon for bouldash and wildcat go to the lake and remmber boulderdash goes faster and wilder as the day progresses.

Maybe that's why I didn't get any airtime then, because my two rides were when the park opened!

I left the park by midday and thought it was a waste of $25.95, and the car park is disgraceful!
