boblogone, are you saying that S:ROS at SFNE and Raven at Holiday World have "withstood the test of time?" These are still new coasters (build in 2000 and 1995 respectively).
I say you do have to mention the CI Cyclone and Giant Dipper... as you said, they have passed the 20 year mark 4 times over and are still great. Certainly this qualifies as standing the test of time.
Not sure about the Cedar Fair anti-wood label. I've never been to CP, but I was at Dorney (another CF park). Okay, there are trims at the crest of Hercules, but is that because CF wants to slow it down, or to cut the speed so Herc does not tear itself apart? Same with Thunderhawk. This coaster was built in 1923 and heavily modified in 1930. There is a set of trims before you hit the bunny hops back to the station, but again, how much wear and tear has this coaster endured over its 78 year history? They still left the wild parts of the first turn and turn around to run full out. As someone in reference to CF's breaking of wood coasters, they only put them on when needed. Can't fault CF for being "anti wood" when they break old coasters (Thunderhawk) or coasters with not the best design (Hercules).
Above someone mentioned Hersheypark's sooperdooperlooper. Its nearest neighboring coaster, the Comet, could also be classified in to that category for this park. Built in 1946, it still has some of the longest lines in the park.
