Lots of people are dogging SOB because it lacks airtime. SOB (and Pappa Beast) are not about air, they are about speed, sustained speed that is, and sheer length of track. The Beast offers terrain as it's best asset, because the ride follows said terrain for such a long time, heading downhill all the way (first half of ride). The helix ending is simply the finest piece of work ever built, breakneck speed through the whole thing. Rough? Yes. Air? No. Now think about it, why would SOB NOT have similiar ride elements as its inspiration? The Beast is consistantly on top 10 lists the world over, despite its lack of airtime. Sonny may not have the terrain working the way daddy does, but speed, length and helixes, its got! I guess on paper, SOB LOOKS awesome, unfortunately, now that it is up and running, opinions seem to differ. If it is too rough for you, don't ride it. It's pretty obvious that punk hates SOB, that is his opinion. Others do enjoy it, go figure. I just hope they do not trim this monster to death before I can make it back to Ohio again, since it was closed on July 10, my ONLY chance to ride in 2000.
End of pointless rambling.

Gotta ride 'em all!
