Cedar Point's Corkscrew is tiny.

I remember running as fast as I could through Cedar Point to get to the Corkscrew when I was a kid. It was amazing and it was very scary. I remember running beneath the corkscrew section for the first time and hearing someone yell, "Artie just puked on the Corkscrew". I still have alot of respect for it, but it looks so tiny now. In line for the Raptor this year I heard a child tell his friends that the Corkscrew sucked. I had to take a moment to reflect on the ride's 25 years and how beatifull it is to me.

I love that ride... maybe I'm crazy. I think I've developed a "thing" for old Arrows. Once again, maybe I'm crazy. :) It is kinda small, but it's a big part of the midway.

I love it, and I agree with you, it is beatiful.

I LOVE the sound of Arrows! It is the greatest sound in the world! (Okay, so I'm a little weird ;)

It is just outdated now (built in 1976). Granted, it was the first with three loops, but I could name probably 10-15 Arrow loopers that I prefer over Corkscrew. To me, it's time for CP to put something on it's site with a bigger hill and a longer duration. It really is sub-par compared to other loopers.

You know, on a busy day, there aren't usually long lines, but there are three trains running and they're all full. I hope they can maintain this ride for a long time to come, as it has become a thing of history.

Wow, three trains even with short lines. What a novel concept. Instead of trying to virtually queue people, the just push more people through the ride quickly.

You're not weird, Bruce. I agree with you. I'd rather ride the CP Corkscrew than one particular B&M in that very same park that isn't located too far away.

The Corkscrew is a fantastic ride. Yes, it is short in duration, but the airtime over the hill before the loop is fabulous, and there's nothing like the inversions over the Midway. It looks so classic, even at night with the red lights on the corkscrews, I can't imagine the Midway without it.

I can't believe that someone likes Corkscrew better than Raptor??? I NEVER liked Corkscrew, so I THOUGHT that I wouldn't like RAPTOR, but I LOVE it! I think that I love to have my Feet Dangling (see my username) on rides, because I also love Power Tower (but NOT Tower of Terror).

I love the sound it makes when it's coming. The sound grows as it gets closer. rrrrrRRRRRRRrrrrRRRrrrrrRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRrRRRRRRRrRRRRRR... lol

Corkscrew looks too good to think about taking it away, it is at home right where it is, it is the world's best looking CS, or at least it should be:).

I like corkscrew too, it is a fun ride. I can't stand it when I hear people go, "corkscrew sucked". Most people don't understand the history of the ride and they think everything has to be the biggest or the fastest to be good.

The Corkscrew has become another part of what makes CP so great. If they ever got rid of it................. I know that they would never do that, CP isn't like that.

I still remember pulling into the Breakers lot on my 8th grade class trip in 1976 and being totally blown away by the height of the Corkscrew. Most of my friends wouldn't ride because it was so tall. Sitting under the Corkscrew on the Midway is still a great thrill for me.
