Definately wood. The coaster can change personality one year to the next even day by day. One ride durring a drought may feel a bit different from a ride after a week of rain. One year it could be a great ride the next rotten. Steel isn't affected by weather like a steel coaster. Steel is the same morning noon and night maybe a bit faster at night.
I rode the Wildcat at Hershey last year first train out of the station. It was so slow climbing the secong hill I thought it was going to rollback. By that night she was screaming round as if it was a different ride. Gotta go with wood due to all the varibles.
