What should we do about Michigan Adventures? What should we do to improve it?

I think what would really give MA a boost would be a borderline 200 ft. steel coaster with all the un-used land they own it could be a possibility, if not 200 at LEAST 125. With Cedar Fair under ownership now, it's a thought. You never know.?!

First of all it's MICHIGAN'S ADVENTURE. I think they should make it look like a cedar fair park first, then build a good steel coaster, that is what they are lacking there.

Cedar Fair isn't going to spend 25 million dollars on a coaster like MF there because it only recieves 400,000 people a year. They will gently build the parks reputation up and if it gets popular they will really put some money in it.

they should definitely start with a signature attraction ride, like a B&M or hypercoaster. Something that will make people come even more for shivering timbers and the newer ride. Then after that I don't care. The smart idea would be to build something big the first season of ownership.

I believe completing the planned steel coaster for 2002 (now 2003) was part of the agreement. MIAdv has clearance for 200+. I'd be looking for a Chance-Morgan or an Intamin in 2003.

While I did enjoy my recent trip to Michigan's Adventure, this little place needs a lot of work to get up to Cedar Fair snuff. As is, the park has a world-class CCI wooden coaster, a nice CCI family coaster, one of the awesome new Arrow Mad Mice, and 3 other coasters to build on. The three I mentioned are all of very high quality and I can say that Wolverine Wildcat is a whole lot better than people give it credit for (I've heard people say it's worse than Mean Streak, um...no).

The main problem at the park is what I like to call it's "fairground" atmosphere. The park looks like a huge empty lot they plopped a bunch of rides down in. The food vendors in the park look like something from a local county fair. The park needs *lots* of trees and landscaping as well as some permanent food-vendor buildings.

On the coaster and ride front the park is doing just fine. The next logical progression as others have said is a nice hyper-twister. Something similar to Expedition Ge-force would be undeniably sweet.

I'm glad Cedar Fair picked up this future gem. I think they'll have enough respect to let the wood there run freely and of course they'll make the place the destination it has the potential to be.

How much land do they have again. How many acres?

I think they will get that hyper, but i also think they will get a boomerang or invertigo.

I think the question is what shoud "we" do. "We" should go there. The more more money they make, the more money they put into the park.

I would want them to build a Vertical coaster if they get enough popularity. Even a small one would be nice.

I would love to see something huge because I live with in driving distance,but the park need work on the grounds flowers,benches,trees,fountains,shows,raft ride,a camp snoppy,and then some type of giant coaster to bring in the masses.They have lots of room to expand and it could become a great park.Im sure they could draw lots of local traffic after all the lines at SFGA are insane,by the time it would take me to wait to get on Raging Bull I could have made the drive from Chicago and been on Shivering 3 times!!!!

I just got back from Michigan's Adventure and a security guard told me a 200+ ft. hypercoaster is coming for 2002.

I agree with Logan that there is defintely a fairground atmosphere there. It is like a carnival on steriods as I call it. Still, low lines for a sweet CCI and decent flat rides is good enough for me. I will be surprised if they get a hypercoaster, because that is a pretty big undertaking for such a samall park. I am glad the CF owns it, I'm sure they bought it for a reason! That place has serious potential, it just needs time. I see a S&S drop tower going in becasue every CF park has one, but we'll see.

The way the former owner of MA sounded a hypercoaster for the park seems to be a done deal.

I do think a hyper coaster is a done deal my self I think morgan already has a coaster planned out. I was wondering is Michigans Adventure deep in a forest area with a lot of trees I think they have space for a lot more coasters.

After a brief visit there myself about a week ago, you could just see so much potential in the park.

I can see the Corkscrew going in favor of a Boomerang or Invertigo.

An S&S two or three tower Turbo Drop near the front gate.

A whole new entrance plaza.

Definitely a Camp Snoopy, probably in the area of Zach's Zoomer.

A Thunder Canyon-style river raft ride as well as something along the lines of CP's Red Garter Saloon.

That's just for starters. The hyper is guaranteed as that's what the Jourdan family had wanted to add to the park prior to the sale to Cedar Fair.

I don't see Cedar Fair removing the corkscrew for a boomerang or invertigo (This is the only topic I can remember where somebody wanted the park to do that.) VF and CP both have corkscrews so I figure the one at MA is probably staying.

I agree with pretty much everything else you said though.
