In an announcement that Six Flags teased would “turn heads across the amusement industry,” the company revealed they have acquired the popular ArieForce One roller coaster from Fun Spot America Atlanta after the park closed its gates forever last month. They have not announced a destination park.

Jeff, that post is why I avoid social media like the plague.
That's why I built my own. 🙂 In some ways though, I kinda like seeing who a person is when they think no one is looking or that they can be different online. Let's you know who you're really dealing with.

metallik, what's an arie? "he's a rich guy, built this coaster at a gokarts and puttputt kinda place for some reason and then sold it when said gokarts and puttputt place didn't become a real amusement park from it". it's a weird name at best. i suppose you're right, they did better by the fans than six flags but so does the average vekoma slc; that's not saying much.
Too high, build more supports, too low, dig a trench. Y'all don't need a civil engineer to figure this out.

Exactly, if the land is flat where it is going add structure or dig to compensate. Yes it costs money but it seems from reports that RMC is working with Six Flags on the cost as it's reported to be able to be moved and installed at less than a new coaster from ground up.

Yeah I get that, there's a couple of people on Pinside I probably would avoid dealing with haha
Vincent: most people aren't even going to know the source of the name, they'll just see a stylized play on "air force one" ... hell, the reviews for FSA consistently called it exactly that. I will admit, I subjectively really like the white+red/blue rail color scheme and the lead car design. Since the name goes along with all that well enough, I don't think it should be changed. I don't care that much about the Aries but I also don't really mind the self promotion, it's a cool little easter egg for people to find out.

So true. If Pinside had evolved like CB, they'd have people who understand the business of making pinball machines.
