It will be interesting to see if this is permanent, or a temporary measure while they figure out some other adjustment. Such as Express Unlimited only allows one ride on Hagrids, or if they go to an individual add on express pass, similar to Disney's LL.
I've seen the theoretical capacity described at 1,700 pph. There's no way. Anecdotally, it feels like it's down daily. Plus it's just slow loading, and I can't put my finger on why. People are just weird and awkward getting on that ride.
It's worth noting that the ride it replaced easily did 3,000+ pph.

In my experience (granted in my one and only trip to UOR) we got two rides on it, and from what I could tell it loaded pretty quickly. That moving walkway makes people hustle. Maybe I just happened to catch it at a good time, but yes... it did break down several times on our trip.
But 1700/hour... nah. That would be up in the Velocicoaster range, no? We got 5 or 6 rides on that beast and ops were consistently pumping out trains in a hurry. It was wild!
We rope-dropped Hagrid and wound up waiting 3 hours. Granted, it was the latest at the time, so everyone wanted it. But to make matters worse there was a TON of down time. I’ve always quarreled (with myself, mainly) about the point in which one is so invested in the wait that it makes no sense to bail and try later. We stayed.
Does the design of the motor bike and side car, and related accoutrement, pose part of the problem? If the cars weren’t as themed, could they get 1 more row on each train? essentially same train length but an extra row (2 seats).
That would be an immediate lift to capacity, at the expense of fantastic theming.

How does that compare to Tron? Which is another awkward loading ride. But Disney ops is second to none of course
It's theoretically similar, I think 1,680 pph. There is signage and arrows on the ground directing people to move around, and people mostly get it right. Sometimes someone climbs over a bike. They've got dual unload and load, and it's a steady stream of trains leaving.

There was chatter (/eyeroll, I know) about IOA making modifications to the train storage area (??) to somehow improve the way/process that trains are added to the track. Is that process considered a problem as to why the ride doesn't open with a full complement of trains at opening? Or was all of that just nerd talk?
Given that Hagrid's trains are 14 seats, how in the world is F&F:HD going to avoid a perhaps similar problem with 16 seat trains (4x4) like Hollywood's version. Is it possible that Florida's is 5x4?
Can you imagine the line for Velocicoaster if its trains were only 16 pax per? Yes, dual load, dual unload on F&F, but I don't think that's the constraint here. What am I missing?
