Hagrids removed from Express Pass at IOA

It will be interesting to see if this is permanent, or a temporary measure while they figure out some other adjustment. Such as Express Unlimited only allows one ride on Hagrids, or if they go to an individual add on express pass, similar to Disney's LL.

I've seen the theoretical capacity described at 1,700 pph. There's no way. Anecdotally, it feels like it's down daily. Plus it's just slow loading, and I can't put my finger on why. People are just weird and awkward getting on that ride.

It's worth noting that the ride it replaced easily did 3,000+ pph.

In my experience (granted in my one and only trip to UOR) we got two rides on it, and from what I could tell it loaded pretty quickly. That moving walkway makes people hustle. Maybe I just happened to catch it at a good time, but yes... it did break down several times on our trip.

But 1700/hour... nah. That would be up in the Velocicoaster range, no? We got 5 or 6 rides on that beast and ops were consistently pumping out trains in a hurry. It was wild!

We rope-dropped Hagrid and wound up waiting 3 hours. Granted, it was the latest at the time, so everyone wanted it. But to make matters worse there was a TON of down time. I’ve always quarreled (with myself, mainly) about the point in which one is so invested in the wait that it makes no sense to bail and try later. We stayed.

Haven't ridden it but a dispatch every 30 seconds sounds a tough ask.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Does the design of the motor bike and side car, and related accoutrement, pose part of the problem? If the cars weren’t as themed, could they get 1 more row on each train? essentially same train length but an extra row (2 seats).

That would be an immediate lift to capacity, at the expense of fantastic theming.

Same and same. We had plenty of time to debate the “what’s the optimal point to bail…….” question. We stayed as we had done everything else in the park many times.
