Central Amusements International is one of 11 companies that have submitted proposals to "reinvent" the historic Rye Playland Amusement Park. CAI is the park operations affiliate of Zamperla Inc., which spent nearly $30 million last year to lease and operate Luna Park in New York's Coney Island.
