Stratosphere officials in Las Vegas are back before the city with plans for a shorter, 510-foot hook-shaped roller coaster. The ride would cross the street at 93 mph and climb another 325-foot tower. The new proposal will be handled by the planning commission then sent to council in April. The resort withdrew its plans in November when it was apparent that council would reject the plans for the larger ride.
