Nearly 18 months after Kaitlyn Lasitter’s feet were severed on a ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, the amusement park has reached an out-of-court settlement with the teenager’s family, who sued the park for negligence. Carolyn McLean, a company spokeswoman, said today that the settlement was reached after 48 hours of negotiations this week. The suit had been set for trial in January 2010. A settlement has also been reached with Intamin, the ride's manufacturer.
