Six Flags and Intamin settle with Lasitters

Nearly 18 months after Kaitlyn Lasitter’s feet were severed on a ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, the amusement park has reached an out-of-court settlement with the teenager’s family, who sued the park for negligence. Carolyn McLean, a company spokeswoman, said today that the settlement was reached after 48 hours of negotiations this week. The suit had been set for trial in January 2010. A settlement has also been reached with Intamin, the ride's manufacturer.

Glad this part is over, for everyone. Hopefully everyone can move on and focus their energy elsewhere. And hopefully some good comes of it.

I agree. I am sure the family is glad it's over, as far as the lawsuit.
