Walt Disney Co. Wednesday said attendance at its U.S. theme parks improved gradually in the September quarter and through the first week of October, but promotional costs are crimping revenues. While park attendance and hotel bookings rose in the September quarter over the prior year, Disney sees pressure on per capita revenue continuing due to promotions and the higher proportion of attendance by local visitors.
