Bonfante Gardens will open this year with a new general manager and a focus on smooth operations. In its first year in 2001, the park the struggled financially as construction costs exceeded expectations. Through private financing, the owner (a local grocery store tycoon) was able to continue operation into 2002. The park is a mix of rides and botanical attractions.
