Your Personal Goals?

I have 2 goals for the year.
1. To ride my 100th coaster. which should be hard because the trip I plan on taking will bring me up to like 95-99. So if I plan on doing this I'm going to need another small trip. and

2. To ride Kingda Ka. I will be at SFgrad for 3 days in the begining of June and I hope for at least one ride. I think it will be tough getting a ride in cause I feel it will have lots of problems at the start.

My goal is just like Den's except amusement parks are my main concern. I'd like to visit all the ones in the states and maybe someday begin to visit other countries.

I've been visiting parks according to distance from my home for 4 years and working my way to a larger circumfrence every trip. I'm in Indiana and have only went as far as NY, PA, MI, TN, MO, GA, IL, KY, OH. This year is a return to PA because there are so many parks, a first time trip to Wisconsin, and a trip to Camden in WV.

Next year I might have to get on an airplane to continue without driving forever. *** Edited 4/30/2005 2:58:05 PM UTC by Wabash Cannonball***

Well heres my goal. Not for this year but hopefully for next. To just ride MF, and just get to CP. Going to VF twice this summer. That'll be great but. When you live up here and are only 15 you don't have that many options. :)

i'm not sure what to put here..

I have a very modest goal; Ride at least one new coaster every year. I've got this year covered, as I've yet to ride Ragin' Cajun. Since SFGAm probably won't be putting in any new coaster next year, I'll have to get over to CP and finaly ride the kiddie coasters, or something. And after that.... I better hope I find something to do that comes with a decent amount of money and vacation time.
My Goal's the same as the guy above me.

Shouldn't be too hard, since I haven't been on Canyon Blaster at SFOG yet.

Chattanooga needs a ITG2 Machine!
To visit as many parks, and ride as many coasters as my budget allows. Haven't been west of Vegas yet. I hope to make it out there early spring next year.

I also need to get to the midwest to see a bunch of parks that I have yet to visit including Holiday world, Indiana Beach, Kentucky Kingdom, GreatAm, and a few others. I hope to do that next summer.

Moosh, you should come over here to Louisiana...but watch out when driving through Mississipi. Unless you're a straight, white, republican, conservative, Baptist, gun-owning, male, they might not take too kindly to you ;) Oh...and drivers in MS are not required to have insurance, so DRIVE CAREFULLY!

I’m driving from Vegas to Jekyl Island (sp?), GA this July. On the way out, I’d like to hit a few parks I’ve not been to for one reason or another…Most of these are not your high destination choices of the GP and enthusiasts, but I’m always up for something new.

1. Wonderland Park (Amarillo, TX)---This Park only opens a couple of hours at night on weekdays (and maybe not every day of the week). Needless to say, I’ve never been through Amarillo (two times in my life) during a time (or within 8 hours) the park is open.

2. Magic Springs and Crystal Falls (AK)---I rode the wooden coaster (name escapes me now) as a young lad while it was in Florida (Circus World I believe) and I think it was named Tiger??? I’d like to try it again.

3. Visionland (AL)---I was in Birmingham the year Visionland was closed. Needless to say, I need to get my Rampage fix and see what all the fuss is about for myself.

These are my primary goals. On the way back I’m considering…

4. Six Flags New Orleans (LA)---Against all my better judgment, I may visit another Six Flags park. I really love wooden coasters and am willing to give any park one try.

5. Waterville USA (AL)---Do the still have a wooden coaster? If it is not too far out of the way, I will credit-whore myself for the cause. I really would like to see the Alabama Shores anyhow…

Do the still have a wooden coaster?

Yes, and it isn't very old. Cannonball Run, in all it's CCI goodness. Looks fun.

I managed my 400th coaster a fortnight ago. There is a small chance I'll make 600 by the end of the year, though high five hundreds is more likely. We shall see.

After I rode my first coaster almost 3 years ago exactly this weekend and then started actaully travleing to some parks later that summer, I told myself that I wanted to ride 500 coasters in 5 years. Well it looks like after this season, I won't quite get there, but I should get close. Probably in the high 400's somewhere.
I used to like to get 100+ coasters a year, and 50+ new ones.

Now my goal is 1 new coaster this year. Getting married, work, etc. has made coasters a lot harder to get to. It was a lot easier when I was in school!

Not only is it harder to get to new rides/places as you leave school, but your motivation slowly fades as you get older. While I still love coasters, there are just so many other things that are more important now, that it makes it hard to find time to get to those "off-the-beaten-path" places.
My ongoing goal I've mentioned before, and that's to simply reach 100 different coasters, and then worry about adding to that number. I thought I might reach it this season, but it looks slim, right now.

Two other goals:

1) Go to Europe on a coasters-only tour to as many places as possible. Then Japan and other parts of the orient.

2) Never ever again will I skip out on riding coasters when I have a chance. Me and my wife two years into marriage went to Toronto, went to PCW, and only rode four coasters the whole day. Big mistake! We never have made it back there again.

I don't have any definitive goals, really, but the next milestone I'm looking forward to is hitting #200, whether it be this season or next. As a sidenote, I have a trip booked for Niagra in July, and I'll be riding my very first coaster outside of the United States. :) One of these days I'll have to head back to England and hit the parks that I didn't even know existed when I last was there. *** Edited 5/2/2005 5:26:45 PM UTC by Vater***
