Your First Rollercoaster

My First coaster was the boomerang at Knotts Berry Farm back in 1989
some of my first coasters

First - some wild mouse(forget the name) at BGW

First wood - The comet at hershey

Fisrt looping - SuperDooperLooper at hershey

First indoors - Space Mountain at magic kingdom

First Launching - Rock n' RollerCoaster at MGM

First steel Twister - incredible hulk

First inverted - The Great Bear at hershey

First suspended - Big Bad Wolf at BGW

First Floorless - Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando

First Boomerang - Sidewinder at hershey

My first roller coaster was the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood when I was about 5 years old. I used to be deathly afraid of rollercoasters and by the time I was 10 and was finally tall enough to ride The Steel Phantom, now I love roller coasters! Everyone that has been to Kennywood, do you remember when you used to think the Jack Rabbit went flying off the track?

Mine was the Wabash Cannonball (Arrow Looper)at Opryland in about 1980. Wabash was living in a field at Old Indiana (along with two other Opryland USA coasters), which I believe was bought by Six Flags, but is now scrap metal, if I am remembering my past research correctly. RCDB is mentioning that is was "in storage" until last year. Sniff, sniff...

First CP coaster (I believe) was Mine Ride. (Now the only CP coaster I will not ride at all.)

Just launch the train...and nobody will get hurt!
To be quite honest, I dont even remember what the first roller coaster I had ever riden and im only 16!! It may have been one of the coasters at dysney in FL or one of the coasters at cannoby lake in NH, or MABYE one of the coasters at Hershey park. Very small chance it was one of the coasters at SFNE when it was Riverside. I just cant remember because ive been to so many parks and since im a grateful dead fan(well, kinda used to be, now im into shredding!)and my parents were HUGE dead fans, they would bring me to amusement parks that were near a dead concert or if the dead were playing at a stadium at the park. I must have been about 5 or so. O wait, I think it may have been the Commet at The Great Escape! I remember going there as a kid and riding some coaster. Ive been on just too many coasters to remember!
I think part of why I cant remember is that it wasn't a big deal, I was really into coasters as a kid, well, liked riding them, but never really thought about them, so when i was reallyh little, riding a huge coaster was nothing to me! Even riding The Black Widow at the now SFNE when I was 8 or 9 didn't bother me with its roughness. I still have fond memories of me and my dad running out of the exit of space mountain when i was like 6 or so and running back into the que line several times. Even after the ride attendent had closed off the entrance because the park closed I jumped over it and procedded to ride it one last time that night. Great times.
Cedar Creek Mine Ride at CP.

Wouldn't that also make your first Arrow and your first steel coaster Trailblazer? *** Edited 1/27/2004 9:36:32 PM UTC by person***

Cedar Point Corkscrew. I had just barely made the height marker. My mom and dad said that I was a nervous wreck. But, after the first drop I was yelling "I wanna go again! I wanna go again!" I hadn't even made it up the second hill yet! I've been hooked ever since.
My first coaster was the Double Loop at Geaga Lake in 1977 or 1978. I can't remember. I remember being scared the first time that I rode it and can't believe how fearless some of today's kids are. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I'm really surprised at how young some of the kids riding rides like MF, TTD, PR, SOB and other large coasters are.

#1 Steel: Sky Rush
#1 Wood: Voyage
#1Park: Holiday World

I think my first coaster was the super dooper looper at Hershey park at about age four or five. Also, one of my other first roller coasters i think was the Sky Princess at Dutchwonderland in 1992, when i was about 6
My first roller coaster was The Red Devil @ Ghost Town in the Sky. I am very sad that it closed.
My first coaster was probably a kiddie coaster at a carnival... but the first one I can remember was the Monster Mouse that now lives at the Puyallap Fair, but USED to live at the Fun Forest at Seattle Center.

Or... it might have been the Matterhorn at Disneyland.

My first upside down coaster was THE first upside down coaster (of the modern era). Corkscrew at KBF. Can you believe people used to wait FOUR HOURS to ride that thing??? Oh wait, now they wait four hours for X... never mind.

EDIT... I like what one of the previous posters did... so:

First - See above

First wood - Coaster Thrill Ride at Puyallap Fair.

Fisrt looping - See Above

First indoors - Space Mountain @ Disneyland

First Launching - Tidal Wave @ PGA (was Mariott's)

First Magnetic Launching - Superman the Escape

First inverted - Batman TR at SFMM

First suspended - Ninja at SFMM

First Floorless - Medusa West at SFMW

First Boomerang - Boomerang at KBF

First SLC - Kong at SFMW

First Standup - Riddler's at SFMM but it WOULD have been Rail Blazer at SFSt.Louis had a woman not been killed on it the day I was at the park... in 1984.
