Your First Rollercoaster

This might have been a previous thread but I was just wondering if everyone else's first coaster was classic or modern or what. Mine was an ACE classic...was because the park installed more restrictive restraints darn it! It was Starliner at Panama City Beach when I was five.
Willard's Whizzer at SFGAm.... Thanks for keeping it GAm...hopefully it will be one of my daughter's first coasters, too...
Batman at Six Flags Great Adventure. I consider it a classic. :>)

Thanks,

I think mine was the Little Dipper at Conneaut Lake. That would have been 1978 or so. I think i was 5.
Space Mountain (Fl), but if you want to know my first "real" coaster it was Dueling Dragons when it opened in 99, when I was about 9 years old. Soon after, I began looking at this site and became an enthusiast when I was 10 or so. But the amazing thing about being obsessed at ten, was that most people who are at that age are influenced by their parents or family, but not me, I'm the only person who will ride a coaster in my family (which is why I get to go to Orlando often, but rarely anywhere else) In fact the last time I was at a non-orlando park was right when nitro came out at GAdv. I'm really off topic now. So my first "real" coaster was Dueling Dragons (Fire), which is a modern coaster, but I would consider it a modern classic.

My first coaster was the REBEL YELL at PKD. I want to say I was about 9 or so.

(Wacky) Soap Box Derby Racers at Knott's Berry Farm. It was 1980 and I was 6. It closed. The end.
My first coaster was Double Loop at then Geagua Lake Park. I was, I think, about 14 or 15 years old. I really don't remember. I only remember being deathly afraid of them, but my friend begged and begged and begged me to ride Double Loop with her. I did, and the rest is history!

Jr. Gemini - the year it opened.

I was afraid of coasters, but then my boy scout troop took a camping trip to Six Flags Great Adventure, and because of peer pressure, I rode Nitro and became a coaster geek.
Mine was (drum beat) "Roller Coaster"....some lil' hand me down Miler coaster in Jamaica. I was about 6. My first big rollercoaster was Dragon Coaster at Rye in 1993.

Mine was Dragon at Ocean Park in Taiwan.

Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

I guess that depends on your definition of classic...Using ACE's definition, it's not a classic, however it is defunct (but still in pieces). My first coaster was the Black Widow at the then Riverside (now SFNE).

No further explanation needed. I'm hopelessly lost.
First coaster was Scooby Doo @ PKD. First adult coaster(though still not as fun as Scooby, one of my faves) was Corkscrew @ Myrtle Beach Pavalion.
Pretty sure it was one of those little kiddie coasters (perhaps the one at Land of Make Believe in Hope NJ) but I consider my first "real" coaster ride to be the Hunt's Pier Flyer in Wildwood. It was a sad day when I found that it was demolished.
It was @ Opryland in Tennessee. I believe it was called "something Cannonball". I know one of you out there can fill in the blank. Does anyone know if that coaster has found new life somewhere else?
Wabash, i believe. I was thinking Six Flags bought those coasters, did they put this one somewhere yet?
My first rides were on the Racing Coaster and then the Thriller at Euclid Beach Park way back in the late 60's. I wasn't tall enough to ride the Flying Turns that day, but after riding the Thriller I was hooked.

Wood - anything else IS an imitation

That was the name. Thanks TeknoScorpion

Wabash Cannonball R.I.P.

I'm not exactly sure my first kiddie coaster is either Jr, Gemini or Little Dipper @ Conneaut Lake. Then I'm not really sure its either Double Loop at Geauga Lake, Blue Streak @ Conneaut Lake, or CCMR.
