You & Season Passes?

LOL Pinkdoom. If they get an Intamin hyper like SFNE's Superman, I'd probably go back even with the horrid customer service ;)

Try to make it out to SFGAm this year if you plan a midwest trip. I bet coming to the Chicago area last month and not being able to go to SFGAm had to suck. :)

Chitown - actually, I *am* trying to plan a trip to SFGAm this summer. It's been 12 years since I've been to the park. If it happens I'll let you know.

OMG I have a new sig!!!

  • SFNE-2
  • SFGAm-1
  • SFA-1

Well yes they are worth the money if you go as much as the "MiG crew" does.

SF Pass: SFStL:5 SFKK:1 SFWoA:1 SFDL:1 SFGAm: 1
CF Pass: WOF:8 CP:2 VF:1 MiA:1
SDC/CC Pass: SDC:5 CC:4

Thinking about much I saved is almost overwhelming. :)

I have Six Flags and Cedar Point passes for 2004, much as 2003. I was considering a Paramount pass, but decided I probably won't be getting to them often enough to make up for the 50% ACE discount on individual tickets. (If I end up moving from Pittsburgh to somewhere closer to a Paramount park, I may still get one).

The Six Flags pass is almost a no-brainer, because there's so many parks in the chain. Last year I went to SFWoA (the issuing park) only once, but I ALSO hit SFMM, SFGAm, SFKK, and Enchanted Village, so I easily got my use anyway.

Cedar Point's is pricier, but between several visits to Cedar Point, and a trip to Knott's, again it was well worth it. This year I'm also hoping to hit Michigan's Adventure, at the very least. *** Edited 2/10/2004 4:34:01 PM UTC by GregLeg***

Well, I most likely am getting an SF pass for me and "T" but that will likely be it. At some point, we will likely discuss getting HersheyPark passes as well, but I dont know if we would get to hershey often enough to justify it (especially not this year).

What I get a kick out of is when people that I work with or family ask me how I can afford going to SFGAm so many times with my daughter.

I tell them that we have season passes. They ask what I paid for the passes and I tell them the 2 passes and a parking pass run me between $160-$200.

They look at me like that's expensive. I tell them to do the math. One day visit for me and my daughter along with paying for parking would be $90.00 each time to visit(without coupons).

They discover very quickly that season passes and parking passes are a great deal. :)

Wasn't planning on getting any season passes this year, but I just read something interesting...

Next season will mark my 22nd year with Hershey Bears season hockey tickets. The order forms for those tickets came in the mail two days ago. One of the perks listed for Full Season ticket holders is Season Passes for Hersheypark can be had for $75 (compared to the $90+ regular price). Hmmmm... now I may have to re-consider... That's only two visits (three if you go after a certain hour, and with out any discounts) and you break even.

"Yes... well... VICTORY IS MINE!"
The only season pass I have is for Busch Gardens. (Actually, it's good for any Anheuser Busch Theme Park.) Mine is set up so I never have to renew it because a set amount is drafted each month indefinitely until I ever want to cancel it. (About $10.00 a month.) Considering that I get free parking and go at least 5 times a year, this is a pretty good deal. I don't see cancelling it anytime soon! :) (Kings Dominion has been sending surveys hinting about doing something with EZ Pay. You'll probably see them do that in the very near future also.)

While we may average $300+ for season passes, what do we buy in terms of beverages/food/merchandise? Probably not anywhere near what everyone else does seeing as how we look for anyway we can save a few bucks to be able to support our addiction.

PKI Gold and Parking passes: $75 each X 3 = $225

CF: $70 w/o parking for me
$85 for my daughter

$380 total.

Visionland-$59.00 SFOG-$49.00 Dollywood Gold-$87.00 total $195.00.
