X is almost ready to reveal its skydiving first drop

Posted | Contributed by Karl DeAngelo

X has completed most of the structure for the first drop as well as some of the pullout for that drop and the beginning of the Raven Turn. On the other side of the park there is more land work for the 4th attraction and more parts have arrived, including what looks like an air tank.

I read somewhere, and I'm really sorry I can't remember where, so I can't prove it, and could be misunderstanding something, OK get it, BUT....wasn't this going to be an S&S shot'n'drop, where the rows of seats can rotate 360, so after the initial 'shot', you are flipped upside down at the top of the tower, so you start the drop upside down, then level off before the bottom again, so you don't get loads on neg G's on your shoulders...

I'm half way finished with my Faller Mad Mouse. That model is mircoscopic I tell ya. I feel like I'm making a watch from scratch.

It's not going to be a skycoaster because right across the way we have a sky coaster. Also, if you ask why make it a pay ride? Simple, more money = more money for the park = more rides for us!

magic mountain and CP rule
They have an ejector seat somewhere in Pigeon Forge, TN that has three poles. These can be shot vertically or horizontally. Maybe they are putting something like this in.
i wish i lived in california sometimes!!!!!!!!
X looks awsome as of right now and I'm just itching to see that towering first drop hovering over the Magic Mountain skyline! I was really hoping for X to be open by July 10th, cause I'm going there on the 10th of July! dangit!

I'm sorry i'm like a dumbass and i don't know what kind of coaster x is can anyone fill me in?
The official category for X is "fourth-dimension coaster," which doesn't tell much. Anyway, riders don't sit on the train, but rather in seats that are perched on the side of the train. No track below or above you. Throughout the course of the ride, the seats will rotate 360 degrees forward and backward several times. So just imagine that or go to the Six Flags site.
I wish SFMM was my home park! Those of you that do have it as your home park are super lucky!

Riddler's Revenge-Can You Stand It?
does anyone else think that the colors on X look a little ugly?
watch they delay X a couple weeks after testing and everything not for mechanical or electrical problems just to kill the coaster enthusiasts cause of anticipation.
I would've loved X's color if it weren't for its location. The track is too red that it is almost indistinguisble with Viper's. The yellow supports are really cool. I wish it was yellow and blue/violet than yellow and red/violet.
The purple is too pinkish...it should be more darker.

I like the yellow and grey that is on the trains but that magenta color has got to go. They should have made it like their T-shirts. Silver and navy blue or green and black. Somthing that has a high-tech look to it.

I wish X was Black for some reason\, just looks better.
