X is almost ready to reveal its skydiving first drop

Posted | Contributed by Karl DeAngelo

X has completed most of the structure for the first drop as well as some of the pullout for that drop and the beginning of the Raven Turn. On the other side of the park there is more land work for the 4th attraction and more parts have arrived, including what looks like an air tank.

Does anyone know what the 4th attraction is?? It looks like an S&S. But they would have told us if it was a TA2k

3..2..LAUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Umm you do realize that S&S makes more than just a TA2K... heheh

Looks like a 3-tower Space-Shot/Turbo Drop...

MF 2000 - 269 laps
MF 2001 - 85 laps (as of 6/20/01)
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100
Why would they add that as a pay attraction?
Hw steep is X's drop? In SFMM's video it looks like it's 90 degrees is it?

It might be a three tower attraction, but look at all of the supports they are cylindrical and taperoff towards the top.It might be some type of ejection seat or slingshot ride.the only problem with that theory is there is three towers.

We are going to see construction on X to "fly" now as the ground work is done, and the highest point is topped off. The structure on this thing could be done by mid-July.

The other unknown ride looks very much like the "Skyscraper" (Dorney Park has one if you don't know what a Skyscraper is)
X's drop (without being technical about it) is straight down, just about purely vertical.
I heard X's drop was 88.5 degree drop

CP is the best hands down even without a record
The S&S attraction is an ejector seat ride. I have talked to somebody who lives in Logan and can see all the S&S prototypes from where he lives. SFMM did not get the prototype, however. The prototype is black, and is just being taken down now. So if any of you see black poles that look like the white ones in the picture, you will be getting a new ejector seat!

Dang, I wanted a Skyscraper!

-------------
Forget about it. It can't be THAT bad!
After seeing this new S&S prototype, you won't care if you ever ride a Skyscraper again.

"No listenin', you hear me?"
You said it! I love coaster construction, it's like a giant puzzle & figuring out which goes where.
the 4th attraction looks like a skycoaster. Same supports.

Go to http://sfwoa.atomic-online.net/ for all your SFWoA needs!
I would think the same thing, except SFMM already has a 200ft skycoaster.

Remember, your relatives had no choice in the matter either!

coooool but whats taking so long with Deja Vu!
-------------
V2 all the way
Six Flags wanted the V style trains and it screwed up Vekoma's plans a lot. There's been a LOT of posts about Deja Vu you know.

It doesn't look like a Sky coaster, because the supports for skycoasters are triangle, more like intamin style track.

Well, it is true that MOST skycoasters have triangle "intamin style" supports, some also do have the monopole construction. Case in point, the one at SFWoA, and the 300 foot one on FL come to mind.
