"X" for x-mas...

Wow! Am I the only one who thought of this? I was just thinking, and realized what an amazing attempt SFMM could make this holiday season :).

Open "X" on X-mas! It would be a huge hit, and a nice advertising campaign... (although, not everyone celebrated christmas, so maybe it wouldn't go too well in that regard...) what do you think? Would it succeed if done as some new advertising campaign or something? Would that be a good day to open? [or at least, somewhere around there.... feel free to close the 25th, maybe open the 26th or something?]

Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?

Interesting thinking.

When is the last time anyone has seen this thing test? I think testing will be a good sign that the ride will open soon.

Actually this reminds me - a while back when the Blade (Toledo's newspaper) announced WT - they chatted a little bit about the CP - SFMM debate.  I BELIEVE it said it would open December 24.  Don't quote me on that - and the blade often gets things wrong - but hey :)
I didn't want this to turn into an argument on when it was goining to open... =\ .. more of an idea. Maybe if they could like theme the park, or open the park just for X, I dunno, just thinking of some unique possibilities.
I don't know if it occured to anybody, but SFMM is closed on X-mas...

LOL! I know, what are you people thinking? Are any parks open on Christmas?

Disneyland normally is.  As for X opening...I still say it opens before year's end.  I'm sure that things are pretty close to wrapping up.
I know the park is closed the 25th, but maybe like the 24th or 26th for a day, just for something "special"... :)
Dropkick Murphys! Kickass name! I'm glad to see they're getting big elsewhere...

Oh yeah, and on the topic....uhhh...X, Coasters, ect. :)

I like your positive attitude but i dont think anyone else does. No one seems to think highly of X. It seems to be leaving a bad taste in certain peoples mouthes. well good try sfdl dude. keep up the spirits everyone. it will open..

LETS ROLL!! This place is dead anyway!

Swingers,

I think highly of X and i cannot wait to ride it when it opens.  I really don't see a "bad taste" in mine, or anybody else's mouth.  Most people realize that X is a prototype ride, and that Six Flags Magic Mountain advertising department are a bunch of mindless jerks who'll hit the wall when the revolution comes.  We've learned to be patient, after all, they won't open an unsafe ride, and I for one would never forgo saftey for schedule.

Yes. They are getting huge here in the Santa Clarita Valley. I went to their concert in Ventura on Oct. 27th.
I think Karl's pictures are kind of old because last time I was at the X site, two completed trains were on the transfer track.

I want to add to that- Arrow's future also depends on X! If X sucks, or even has one minute vibration in it, Arrow will be ruled out of the bis forever. That is why they are taking their time- to make it the best it can possibly be. Go Arrow!

What would life be like without coasters?
A big ball of poo!

Dropkick Murphys:

Those pictures are not old. They were taken Saturday, December 1. I was surprised myself to see the train sitting in the bus parking lot.
