I just came home for lunch and X-Flgiht is open!!! Let me tell you, this is now my favorite ride at the park! I love how you're facing the ground and how intense the thing is. When I was leaving however, the line was approaching the 2 hour mark!
Great to hear. A few questions:
1) How many trains were running?
2) How long was your wait?
3) Did the crew seem pretty efficient?
Thanks,
Chris B.

I rode it today after work and waited about 2 hours, the ride was basically what I expected, it didn't blow me away, it was a cool feeling I sat in the back seat and it was pretty intense.

It does sort of if you ride it repeatedly (3-4 times in a row) but not if you ride it periodically. It sure is fun though and is one of my favorites now!
i'm gunna ride it tomorrow. i agree with arrow guy, it better be open!!!!

Milennium Force Pumps My Nads
The ride was open today (Sunday 5/27) with one train, and about a 70-75 minute wait, probably a bit longer for the front.
My new favorite coaster.
Wow. Got back from SFWoA from yesterday..... and that was the first day X-Flight was open to the public. I had to wait a total of a half hour and I sat in front. I got pics, but need to get them developed.
I walked by it going to Superman, and it was perfect timing..... they just opened it, and it was AWESOME. 4th ride of the day.
My new favorite coaster.

What's with this one train crap? I have been among the few defenders of this park, but this one train stuff has got to go. Until this park can learn to run their rides at full capacity, I don't see myself enjoying this park one bit. I'm sure someone will chime in with the usual, "they're working on the other train", well what was their excuse last year? Sorry folks, but this is a BIG pet peeve of mine. I'll except less than clean, mediocre customer service, even expensive parking, but when you run one train it's really a disrespect to your customers who have a limited amount of time to enjoy your attractions.

I'll agree with you Outkast to a point. But then look at Kennywood who's had longer than anyone to get their coaster ready and they're only running one train. And Hypersonic didn't open with all its trains running either. Just be thankful that the coaster is finally open.
Hey hey hey..... X-Flight is VERY different
I understand the one train operation on that ride, but no other coasters should have had just one running (Except S:UE).
They still have to test the transfer track and everything on that ride. But the crew seemed fairly efficient. And very nice too.

i was there yesterday, saturday, opening day f x-fligh, and at one point the line reached 4 hour long! then we went back later an it was 2 hours, then around 9 it was only abut 1 hour. this ride is amazing! i was actualy shaking when i got on the ride, i was even to the point where i was starting to cry! and i am a 16 year old boy! its just that this thing scared the crap out of me, and i am the biggest roller coaster nut around! but i loved this ride. THANK GOD I HAVE A SEASON PASS. because i will be riding this thing every day after school! i cant get over it!
From what I understand, they've been running one train on Batman:Knight Flight as well. This coaster opened last year. What's the excuse there?
It's one thing to run one train when the ride ops are kicking butt like at Holiday World. It's quite another when they're taking their sweet time on a ride that already has capacity issues. still, IMO there is no excuse good enough for me. If Cedar Point can do it, why can't SFWOA?

Huh? Kennywood had to tear down another coaster before they could even get
started, X-Flight was slapped down in a parking lot.

Could you
describe the ruckus?

It seems to be a Six Flags thing. I believe they don't want you you get too many rides - you know, that old "leave them wanting more" thing. It grinds me to no end as well. Watch them load Chang at SFKK if you you want to see something pathetic. And I've seen the same thing at SFMM, SFGAm, and SFWoA. Why you would spend millions on some of the highest capacity rides on the planet and then run them at 40% - 60% efficient is mind boggling.

I agree with you Lifthill310 it is stupid to run these high capacity rides at way below average capacity. I'm sure with 3 trains running on X-Flight and both sides of the station open, then line for X-Flight would be barely over an hour. It truly is mind boggling; especially on its opening weekend for god's sake!

There's certain rides that are going to have long waits no matter how good the crew is.
A concrete example of this is at CP, which arguably is the best at handling capacity crowds.
Even with this title, Mantis still often stacks trains because it's a standup.
I'd rather have it open with one train than to be closed. I will be visiting June 1st.
