"X" at Magic Mountain Question.

Hi. I was just wondering, what is the wait for "X" (or at least when it was working).

Fast Pass?

Normal line?

Fast Lane: AT LEAST 1 hour. They may not use fast lane once it opens back up.
Normal Line: 6 hours plus on a saturday in the spring w/ 2 trains.
The day I went it was about 4hrs and a half. But even if you get there at opening and run to the entrance, which I think is a good idea, you would still probably wait 45 mins.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

I went on June 3rd, and June 4th, and the queue time was 3-4hrs and it was a weekday, I hear on weekends, it reached upto 7hrs.

Incidnetly, On June 3rd, I went up to the X queue for a laugh at 7.55PM, to see what the queue was like, and sadly it was still 3hrs, but strangly enough SFMM were still letting people through at that time, and they closed the park at 8PM which meant the last people finally got a ride at something like 11PM, how shocking. I would have thought that with all the problems, they would have closed the queue really early at something like 5-6PM, so people are not there really late still waiting to ride on it????
I just thought it was weird really, has anyone else seen this happened, imagine what it would be like on weekends, you wouldnt get a ride until 1-2AM, YIKES.

wow people will wait over 5 hours for this ride. sixflags better not give up on x .

I just want to ride as many coasters as posible

Well, the current wait is about 3 or 4 months, but it could get longer.

When X is open, it usually doesn't open right at 10 when the park opens. I've noticed that it opens between 11 and 12. Get to the park when it opens and wait by the X entrance, which some others will do as well, you'll get on within 10-15 minutes. Although X isn't even operating now, so this isn't all that helpful.

What is wrong with X that they do not operate it now?
i went on it when it was just a few days old and i waited around 3-4 hours. when deja vu opened i waited around 2

LMAO, 5+ hours for X... I'd much rather spend my time riding other rides...

I have a couple questions about the fastlane there if they're still going to do it after they reopen the ride.

First, how much is it? How many rides do you get for each one?

Second, if I were to get one, then how many people can use them and so on? And would I beable to go on the same ride over and over again (after I wait in the Fastlane line) , or is it limited to like one ride per roller coaster.

Can someone bring me up to date on this fastlane thing, I don't really get it. But X could be open when I go so I'd like to know. Thanks

No, people are REALLY not happy to wait that long. It's just the rediculously low capacity that makes it that long. For the sake of both Arrow and Six Flags, I hope they can make the reliability and capacity somewhat reasonable.

It's even worse when they're running only one train, partially due to their absolutely silly unloading and loading setup.

When the train arrives back in the station, it stops at the unloading dock. The seats tilt back up into an easier position for everybody to get back off. After everybody is off the train, they sit around for about 30 seconds or so, then they flip the seats back down (which isn't necessary at all for proper clearance) which takes another 20-30 seconds. The train then rolls down the track to the loading area, where the seats then go back up, which takes another 20 seconds. The gates then open for people to get on, the employees make sure the restraints are all fastened correctly, then the seats go back down, the employees manually push down the seats that didn't automatically go down, and then the train is finally off to the ramp.

While I was waiting in line to ride X, it really upset me that they had to do a bunch of needless rotating of the seats. It just seemed like a total waste of time to me. I can see how that procedure would work out perfectly if they were running 2 cars, but you would think they could skip the minute wasted on flipping the seats when they're only running one car.

When I rode X, it was only about a month old. I imagine Six Flags will eventually get all the kinks worked out of their procedures.

I'll be a good boy and follow the QUOTE rules. Peabody you say they arent happy then why are they waiting. Granted, I haven't been to SFMM this year but I'm sure they have signs that say 5 hours from this point. Obviously people don't mind that much because the line is constantly full when open.

People wait 5 hours because they have to if they want to ride, that doesn't mean they mind it, or like it. Watch the moods of people in a 5 hour line. It's not a happy place like a fast moving line.

Well, I guess I will find out what makes me tick when I go at the end of the month (if it is open, that is). I imagine X will have to be my first coaster of the day. Kind of downhill from there, eh??? I wonder if I will like it as much as I enjoy Goliath or Riddlers Revenge???

Peabody, I see what you mean. My theory is that if they were that mad they would just storm out of the line.
Well, most people will say, "I've waited 2 hours, I'm not about to get out of line now.
