Worse Break Down You`re Been On

What is the worse break down you have been Involed In? I have just got back from Thorpe Park and what a park she is!! I when Mainly for Nemesis Inferno and when i got to the ride a tiny bit of rain started and the safety systerms woldnt let the coaster run ahhh!! But after a while the got the probam fixed even thought i was still raining. After a while it open again i was there when it did open (after a hour waiting outside). I got on the ride after 20 mins of running and the Coaster did it again i was stuck on the lift with the rain pouring on me head and needing the loo!! 25 mins later and getting wetter than i did on tidal wave. The coaster went a what a brillant ride well worth the wait!! but whats youre worse breakdown?
hahahaha, when i went there on the 8th, the train BEHIND us, the first train behind us, got stuck on the lift hill for over an hour

My sister's friend told us that once, she was on the Magnum, and they saw a waterspout off in the distance on lake Erie. If this is true, I consider that to be pretty scary.

I got 'e-vacd' fromt the 2nd lift hill on the Beast several years ago. It was 93 and about 90% humidity and PKI managment felt it was best to get us out of the sun ASAP.

They had ice water and exit passes waiting for us at the station, which I felt was a nice touch.

I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

1) Two years ago we were stuck on Two Face at SFA for about 10 minutes. We were in the outward facing row of the front car (we went up the lift back-wards). I knew we were in trouble the second we blew through the station and up the lift hill for the second time and there were no brakes to grab the train. We went through the station again, and our car was completely upside-down before the train coasted back through the station again, and once more, no brakes. The station brakes finally grabbed as we went through once more and they stopped the train with just the last couple cars in the station. We got to sit there at about a 45 degree angle until the figured out to release the brakes and let the train drift back into the station.

2) My first ride on the Beast was in the rain last year. It was an off and on rainy day, and we just stayed in line because we had nothing better to do. It got running again, and we got on in about 15 minutes. As soon as our train left the station, they discovered there were issues with one of the other trains, so we were stopped on the block between the station and the lift. Once again we were in the front row, so we were actually under the little cover that is there. After waiting a couple minutes, it started to rain again. The crew ran out with brand new ponchos for everyone on the train, because they almost had the ride fixed and they were about to send us on our way - in the rain. I wasn't in a hurry to get mine on since we had a roof overhead, and before I knew it, we were off.

Actually that does happen quite often. They've had footage of it on my Local News station. They normally only worry about it if it heads toward the park.

I got stuck on King Cobra, *moment of silence*, two years ago on the break run. It was my first stand up and I had the rookie-slump. After ten minute of being slouched over, and not able to stretch - I was hurting.

We had to walk over the queue roof, and through the empty train in the station. Exit passes would have been good that day!

In one of the first years it was open (when I was "wittle"), our Beast train stopped at the top of the first lift hill, and after waiting a little bit, they had us walk down - scary when you're a little kid!

More recently, Avalanche Run's last year ('89), we were e-stopped on one of the block brakes, early evening in the height of mufflehead season! We sat there for what seemed like an eternity swatting at the swarm around us in futility (it was actually more like 20-30 minutes).

I already miss LeSourdsville Lake :(

In 94 I was stuck on Maggie's lift for an hour and was eventually Evacuated from a ride. We were at the very top at the time. I never realized the huge amount of space between the cars and the stairs on Maggie till then. Imagine stepping over a gap 200 feet up with nothingness below you.

Ah what the hell.....Magnum What?

S:ROS blew me away

At SFEG Shake Rattle and Roll broke down at eight at night and we were stranded until 9:30. It was just bfore we were to be unoloaded and the restraints wouldnt raise. The lights in front of the seats didnt turn off and it was so hard to see afetr beieng removed.

LOL you said loo. Sigh, I miss Europe.

Anyhoot, the "worst" I've been involved in was a walkdown from halfway up the lift on Corkscrew at Cedar Point. Got a ride up the exit pass good for one ride which we promptly used to taunt guests waiting in line at Raptor. ;) I'm such a schmuck lol.

I recently got stuck on the Rainbow ride at SFKK! We were trapped and could not get out for at least 15 minutes.

I got locked in Cyberspace Mountain at DisneyQuest Folrida for 15 min. SCARY!!!

7 days...

i was stuck on son of beast and also once on drop zone

I had talked about this before, but this happened a few years ago on Psyclone at Magic Mountain. This specific year was the first time I had ever noticed the very slow push off over the first hill - which has been it's normal operation since then.

We went down the first hill, up the next, and traveled slowly around the first turn. Well, we didn't make it all the way, and we stopped. Everyone was wondering what happened, and then very slowly we started to go backwards. We whipped backwards down the hill and flew most the way up the first drop. Then back the other way again. We did this pattern for the next 15 minutes till we finally came to a dead stop.

Amid many employees, the car was chained down, and we were removed two by two, and taken to ground level. We had to do this by climbing over rails, transferring tracks, and finally taking a ladder about 20 feet down to the ground. There we were handed ice water and a free pass. Definitely the best and most surprising extended coaster trip I've taken.

I got stuck on Boomerang at WoF... that was fun

My worst breakdown was on Vortex at PKI. Sitting in the sun for about 1/2 hour. This was so long ago though.

Lets go its on!

You said thsi has not have to be on a coaster but the worst I could say was being in the epcot ball for 3 minutes. That probably happens to everyone but im not sure if it does.

A true enthusiast goes on the kiddie coasters.

Ive been lucky, knock on wood, but my worst on a ride is a tie:

Summer of 93': First time on B:TR (or any invert for that matter) @ SFGAm went through the whole ride and got stuck in the break run behind the station for a half an hour in the sweltering non ACd stuffy station house, and they didnt even give us a free pass, hence my love hate relationship with that park begins...

Summer of 01': 10:30 and it is my first ride on my traditional Magnum Marathon to end my day at CP, got stuck on the break run when the computer shut down because the train behind us allmost crested the hill, lost 20 min of the best 30 min of riding time at CP. However, that night due to that incident they shut off the trims on the pretzel (which I might add was true last year at night too) so for 10 min (3 rides) I did get Magnum at its best. CP didnt give us a FOL pass either, but Magnum's line was only in the station so I can see why they didnt.

The worst break down happen to me on the Orient Express was a chain dog sliping out of place underneath my car (I was sitting in the 2nd car which is where that chain dog is located.) When it slip there was this bad bump in my car and then the lift stop moving. Within minutes the maintence guy check out the connection and clear the lift to start moving again.

The 2nd Worst even though I didn't get stuck on the ride is was last year on the Mamba. The Bearing for the Chain lift went south and was puffing out black smoke and fumes. THis was loacted at the very top of the ride so the ride ops couldn't notice it. When I got back into the station I told them about it. Soon after the ride was shut down and maintence came and looked at the problem. The problem was where maintence need a crane to fix the problem so the ride was down for the day.

The 3rd Worst was being stoped on Cyclone Sams at WOF (Chance Wipeout) in the 45* position. The rade was apperntly E-Stoped and was lowered back down and restarted again. NO biggie there.

I have a question for Touchdown!

Was that Magnum ride you got stuck happned in Early Aug of 2001? This was when I was waiting at the gate for the ride to reopen. After they reopen the gate I went into row 1-3, that is when I discovered the Ejector Seat. Durring that ride after it reopened The lift stoped for a brief period. I remember we yelled over the other train to tell them to come get us. Well the lift stared up within a minute of it shuting down, I went to enjoy that awesome ride on Maggie.
