World's only Space Diver about to perish?

I personally like Flashback. The headbanging isn't near the worst and could be easily fixed by hiring B&M to put in new trains. After all, didn't they help design it when they worked for Intamin? Some speed coaster trains would make many people change their opinion of the ride.

Would it be a a total waste if they asked B&M for new trains and filled the track with sand?

Lake Compounce-So Fresh and So Clean Clean

When we were there in June we asked why it was down and the guy said it was because of HH and the distractions it causes. Also because you can see into the changing rooms while riding. They only have netting for roofs. Brilliant design.
Well if they was smart they could of utilized the time it was down and work on it.

Vertigo has the right answer, I think. The problem with that solution is that it costs $$$. If I were in the position to decide what to do with Flashback, I would certianly think twice about dumping money into it.

Personally, I think the design (track layout) diving turns, and the tighest helix I've ever seen makes for a cool ride. Sadly, the roughness is unbearable. I "brace for impact" whenever I ride it, and I still come away with a couple of BAD knocks.

About the changing rooms, that's the first time I've heard that one. Couldn't they just build a wall, or a roof?

Yes, you're correct. What if B&M just completely re-made it? Put it in In Iron Wolf's spot, and add Riddler style stand-up somewhere else in the park.

Have you ever heard him scream.............

I think your thinking of the wrong park. Flashback is at Six Flags Magic Mountain, but it used to be at Six Flags Great America (home to Iron Wolf).

Cedar Point 2003, and it begins...

No! I meant take it back to SFGAm.

coasterzach1, just in case they are, "please guys" - approaches, hat in hand: "I'll even pay for the ops salary for an hour for everyone who wants to ride....I don't make great money or anything, just a humble coaster-lovin' guy....wants one spin"....

Well I was at SFMM just yesterday and no Flashback was not open. Also the ride itself wasn't or isn't the whole problem with the lifeguards, it's mainly the people screaming in pain lol. The lifeguards don't know if someone is screamin for help or is it the people on Flashback, maybe they should do a Disney and add scream shields lol.

Also Flashback has been down every summer season since HH was built and SFMM never took it off the website nor is it listed as being closed when you visit the park. SFMM is acting like the ride isn't even there anymore, so Imo something is going on with Flashback. Either they're getting rid of it or they are moving it somewhere else inside the park.
