But the site seems to be over-bandwidth right now.
The top 10:
1. Shivering Timbers
2. Boulder Dash
3. Phoenix
4. Tremors
5. Thunderhead
6. Raven
7. Balder
8. Legend
9. Megafobia
10. Aska
Bottom 5:
172. Predator
173. Psyclone
174. Lil' Dipper (Camden)
175. Antelope
176. Grizzly (Great America)
No real thoughts, just wanted to be the first to pass it along.
I'm pretty pleased with the results (my top three woods are the top three in the poll, though not in that order). I'm really glad to see Boulder Dash placing at a new high. Whenever people talk about world class woodies, I find very few people seem to mention it anymore, and it's a shame because it's still a gem of a ride. Glad to see it getting the recognition it deserves. :)

While I'm no fan of Shiv Timbers I can see why people rate it so highly and I'm not bothered by it being #1. Its just a poll.
TrEmOrZ for president! :)
Congrats to all those who did well, and *raspberries* to those parks at the bottom....;)
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
If you can't have fun on any of them (Lest a painful ride) I'd suggest a different hobby.
Chuck, whos had bounds of fun from some of the coasters in the bottom ten of the poll as well as the top ten and everywhere in-between My biggest 2004 surprise was the morgan equipt. Jack Rabbit at Seabreeze.

I'd love to ride Thunderhead, but I don't think I'll get the chance to ride it anytime soon. Hopefully it won't be too rough by the time I get to it!
This poll is blatantly rigged. Just like Vegas.
Joe "surprised that Thunderhead ranked as high as it did...wait, no I'm not!" C.

No pun intended what-so-ever there, right mikey?;)
Guess I'll see you @ Dollywood when you ride your final top ten continental woodie.
Now that I think about it, not only have I ever ridden the top 10, but thankfully, I've never been on the bottom 5, and only 1 of the bottom 10 (scooby @ PKD, and I actually like it, go figure). *** Edited 12/6/2004 11:38:14 PM UTC by TeknoScorpion***

Try ridding Son of Beast, Mean Streak, Villan, or even the Beast. Timbers of course is not as smooth as glass, but wooden coaster are not suppose to be. How you can consider Timbers painfully rough shocks me. I have rode that thing at least twice a week all season long, and I consider it the best wooden coaster on the planet. Many woodies have their trains bouncing up and down on the track, I have only never experienced that once on Timbers.
Yes the laterals on the turnaround can be a little forceful I will agree to that, but its suppose to be like that, and its a very cool feeling imo. I remember a past post where it was mentioned that Wolverine Wildcat was smoother and better than Timbers. In 2003 when Wolverine Wildcat was given an almost complete retracking and was runing the best and smoothest it ever has, while Timbers was having a mediocre year I would maybe agree to this. In 2004 however Timbers was running better than it had in years and truely runnig like the number one coaster in the world, while Wolverine Wildcat had leaveled out to a plataeu, but its still an enjoyable ride. But enough comparrison to its little borhter. ST is what a wooden coaster is suppose to be imo. Fast, airtime filled, good laterals. headchoppers, and a classic layout, a little bit of an enjoyable rumble to it. It is definatly deserving of the #1 spot and I am not suprised what so ever.
The King of Airtime is back on top. *** Edited 12/7/2004 3:43:55 PM UTC by RockingRollerFarm***
I liked the layout, headchoppers and the trick track but it was just insanely rough even going straight.
