As the saying goes, "It is finished!" Knott's Berry Farm has finished structural deconstruction of the ill-fated Windjammer. All that remains of the ride is some rubble and some footers. It will take a few more weeks to get the footers all out, then preparations for a new ride can commence.
Magic Mountain is continuing the "detail" work on X and Deja Vu. We also have a video of Thrill Shot in action!
Castle Park is busy constructing its "Dragon Tower" double shot attraction from S&S. Apparently the installation of the ride is so fast that they will be testing within a few days.
The Disneyland Resort has a few things going, signs have been installed on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Play It! And also, the Golden Zephyr has had the ride vehicles removed and all but one set of cables are gone from the attraction.

Windjammer's going to a better place. Can't wait for the new ride TBA.
X and DejaVu are looking good. Can't wait for them either.
Thoses Double Shot's get put up fast.
When does, "Who wants to be a Millionaire - Play It" open?

A 1000 foot floorless looping wooden coaster for sure, no doubt!!! ;)

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
anyone know how tall these towers at castle are going to be?
That would be awesome if KBF put a hypercoaster in the open land.

"Duff Man Says... Ohhhhh Yaaaaa!"
Current Favorite Coasters:
1)Raging Bull 2)Millennium Force 3)Medusa (SFMW) 4)Vertical Velocity (SFGAm) 5)Dueling Dragons (Ice)
I know what there going to do at Knott's there going to build this 480ft. tower and have the Intamin style coaster freefall at 170mph through 9 420ft loops and 7 300ft. corkscrews. before flying of the track and through 3 giant flame rings. Then it will land back on the track, and some super-powerd LIMs will propell the train up 450 ft. then repeat the process backward.
It's called Montezuma's 2nd Revenge.
I have to admit, I was saddened to see Windjammer's plot cleared out. Not that I'm sad to see it go, or not happy about what's going to be there. It's just sad to see a coaster go, even if it's a crappy one.
What was also sad was the DCA update. WTG, Disney, get the Millionaire attraction done exactly at the point when Millionaire couldn't be more "out". That's what they get for following trends instead of starting them like they used to.
Wont miss it
R.I.P
Windjammer
Millionaire "out"? Well, interestingly enough I was looking around on CNN.COM this morning and saw this:
Top 10 shows, their networks and ratings for the week of Aug. 6-12:
1 "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, (Thursday)"
ABC, 9.2
2 "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, (Sunday)"
ABC, 9.0
3 "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, (Tuesday)"
ABC, 8.8
I think Knott's is going to add a GCI/CCI wooden racer where Windjammer, that ugly, painful, thing, used to stand or maybe a compact B&M floorless.
