Other people (notably Jim Disney and Bob Barber) have hinted that it is an Intamin but something we haven't seen yet. Let's follow that logic:
1. NO impulse
2. NO giga
3. NO hyper
Anyone have ideas that are not out of the park, if you know what I mean?
What about:
1. An intamin tilt coaster
2. An intamin inverted (non launch)
We've already seen an Intamin inverted. Not our country, but the world has. Maybe if he was more specific on his quote. He may have just meant something you haven't seen in Calif.

I don't think California will be getting anymore impulses (or any other launched-by electricity coasters) for a while, at least not when electricity is at a premium.
(For the life of me I don't know why Six Flags Marine World put in V2 this year).

I really hope no Impulse is planned. V2 was a ride that will, quite frankly, get old quickly. Pretty fun, but it didn't have the re-ride value of Roar or Medusa. Plus there's an 80 inch height limit...
I have ridden V2 already 30 times and I have yet to be even close to tired of it. Nor am I tired of Montezooma's Revenge after 10 years of riding it. However, I hope SFMW remains the only California park with an Impulse. I'd like to see some sort of Gemini- like steel racer for Knott's.

No more racing rides at Knott's! They've tried them all! Every ride that has been in that spot in the past has been a racing coaster! The Wacky Soap Box Derby Racers then Windjammer Surf Racers! No more! But it WOULD be hilarious if it did turn out to be SOME kind of racer! Knott's would have some kind of legacy with racing coasters...
I am DYING to know what will be going into WindJammer's spot. I remember a soundbyte a while ago stating "It will blow Goliath away."
Maybe an Inverted Hyper with inversions??? Whatever it ends up being, I am sure it will be good. KBF (especially with Cedar Fair at the helm) does not want a repeat of WJ.

Hey, I never said anything about being tired of Monte! :) I too have been riding that for 10 years, and I still love it as much as I did the first time! I do love V2 also, and you are probably right, it won't get old, but I'd still like to see something different here at Knott's. Not to mention the fact that this park already has 2 shuttles.
Yeah, the consensus seems to be, "inverted hyper". But if that is the case, you would think it would need far more space than the Windjammer area allows, unless they do the X thing and make it very compact.

Inverted hyper....unlikely. About as likely as Windjammer going to Magic Mountain.
By the way, maybe Astroworld purchased Windjammer.
First of all, WJ is dead, the track has been cut up and there is probably not way to put it back together, second, the Windjammer space is not that small, it's just that it's not a long space, the surface area there is probably enough for a ride the size of an inverted a little larger than Batman the Ride. Hey, have they made an inverted dueling coaster yet? LOL!!

Well what wasn't wrong with it? oh wait i can't think that hard. But anyway to answer your question- It was a headbanger and it was made by TOGO. I'd say right there that's too much bad stuff. But there were alot of problems with this ride-I'm not sure but i think it broke down alot. But i'm EXTREMELY happy to see this thing go!

Are you forgetting the fact that it couldn't operate in 5 M.P.H. Winds, that is cars started to bend, and the complaints of the GP?!

This is so stupid. Even as both of us were employees in uniform, a ride op said it was an inverted giga coaster. In those words. Don't even think he was an enthusiast either.
But seeing that no one else knows, I really don't think he does...

Oh yeah my bad sorry. I wasn't really thinking that much i just remeber that it was a headbanger- and now that i remeber somone was telling me about no operations in 5 mph winds. Not a great name for a coaster that can't operate in it! But the car bending i don't really remeber that. but i never really payed attention to it.
