Will we ever see a park with 20 coasters?

Ok, as far as the Vekoma Boomerang comment.. Not only will CP not be Throw one in for count, it would never meet the RPH that CP needs... They have so many guests per day since they are seasonal, they need a high rider quotient... Also, from what I hear from some good friends that were CP employees, the parking lot is fair game, and they are gonna move the lot off site and shuttle people in.. anyone else hear that?.
Peabody, you're referring to a joke I've made for a couple of years now that totally does not make sense. Cedar Point cannot and should not fill in Lake Erie (even if they could). I saw the same show that you did, and do you recall all the problems they had, not to mention the gross price tag? I mean, that was in the middle of an ocean too, you can't just fill in Lake Erie. Wouldn't that just destroy surrounding communities?
Gator, Greg: Well, on a non-stop fight it will be the greatest sight you've ever seen. I did non-stop from O'Hare to Narita. I hear that CHI or NYC to Japan is the longest non-stop flight out there. When we took off it was 13-14 hours till we landed. 5 movies, several TV shows, 3 full meals, 3 snacks.... It was LONG LONG LONG!

Destroy local communities? How do you mean?

Land is filled in lakes all the time. How do you think those long walkways out to the lighthouses got there? Also there are platforms. Half of Indiana Beach's rides are on platforms. The rest are on land that has been filled. Look at Navy Peir in Chicago. It is over the water.

Navy Pier is not over the water, it is built on a man-made peninsula measuring almost 1.5 miles long ... http://www.navypier.com/SubLink.cfm?Main_ID=25&Sub_ID=44

redman822. I think that is what Wabash was referring to. It is a man-made peninsula like you stated so the lake was filled in for Navy Pier.

""To be the man, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!, You got to beat the man""!!!

Ok...I see what he meant now, but there is also one BIG difference...Navy Pier was comissioned by the city/state government at a whopping cost of $4.5 million in 1914 (which would be 77.5 M in 2001 dollars)

Anything CP would want to do would have a lot of hurdles to jump - not just financial issues but also environmentalists, and general bureaucracy and the associated red tape...

Just a little flashback here: Many people said that they could build in the parking lot. Now I just thought of something. Are you guys talking about the main parking lot or the Gemini parking lot? Because I have a feeling that the Gemini parking lot could be used before they put in coasters in the main lot.
