Will we be seeing more Mr. Freeze coasters?

Actually Brandon you are wrong Robin The Chiller got lap bars this season but it just isn't operating. The Batman side is getting them this winter, for all the people who think its horribly rough which it really isnt.

As far as Mr. Freeze goes the rides not to rough but as far as any others being built I doubt it because it did have a headbanging problem as well as maintence. But I wouldn't count out similar rides as long as their built with lap bars.

Why doesn't Speed: The Ride have lapbars?

I personally don't think it needs them. I thought it was super smooth. Nothing beats the overbanked turn to go under the walkway, into a loop, only to be boosted again, and then climb 224 ft vertically, and then only to do it in reverse. If B&R TC Lapbars are a success, then probably the Mr. Freeze rides will get them, and then we will se more.

Nitro: The Most Explosive Coaster on the Planet explodes at Six Flags Great Adventure in 2001.

I do see more of them being built, but I think parks will turn to Intamin for faster, smoother rides, especially when Knott's new coaster makes it's impact.
Do we know what knott's is getting yet?
YES............
My 14 year old sister has ridden Poltergeist, Joker's Jinx, and Mr. Freeze, and found them all to be quite enjoyable. Anyone who says they are rough is weaker than my sister ;) Seriously, though, these rides are not rough at all. The padding is superb, and the rides themselves are a great rush. I hope we see more of them, but no lapbars please, unless they fix the problem that Flight of Fear had, where taller people can't fit. Those stupid foot restraints are unnecessary and in the way...
Seems like it would be a good fit for SFEG if they have enough room.

Bull rides: 88
Shockwave rides: 61

Yeah these premier launched coasters are surprisingly intense! I love them!  I want one in my home park now.  the roughest coaster I have ever ridden is ME at SFNE or Drachen Fire at BGW and even they don't bother me that much.  These premier coasters don't even come close to the pain and they are a lot more fun to ride.

sigh, SFNE goes "tiny" for 2001
I just got back from SFOT and Freeze ruled! check out my TR.
Mr.Freeze is one of the best rides I have ever been on. It has got a good speed (top speed is 70 mph) and it seems to maintain its speed through out the ride which is only 47 sec. .

I used to never ride it due to its Vertical reverse point, But I took my first ride on June 26. 2001. And rode it 6 times that day, I LOVED IT !! I have now been on Freeze 25 Times.

It truly is "The Coolest Coaster on the Planet" .

No, I doubt we will see any more of these Mr. Freeze like models (not including the sphegetti bowl coasters). Those coasters were maintenance nightmares, and let me tell you, after a client experiences something like this on a certain product, you'll be sure they ain't buying any more of them. I wonder why after three years we haven't seen any more of them. That's because you move on. There are much more better thrill rides being offered nowadays with the technology in rides constantly being pushed forward.

Oh, and if you've noticed, Six Flags tends to ride in a "trend" like wavy fashion. From the years 97-98 quite a number of their rides were LIM/LSM powered.

• Mr. Freeze : The Ride @ SFoT (97 Delayed Until 98)

• Mr. Freeze : The Ride @ SFStL (97 Delayed Until 98)

• Superman : The Escape @ SFMM (96 Delayed Until 97)

• Poltergeist @ SFFT (1998)

• Batman & Robin : The Chiller @ SFNJ (1997)

• The Joker's Jinx @ SFA (1999)

Unfortunately that is not the case. V2 was one of the more disappointing rides of my life. A fun ride, but really lacking any intensity at all.  Mr. Freeze, on the other hand, has a launch that is ten times better and a course which is much more interesting.

I think Mr. Freeze is awesome as well. I've ridden the one at SFoT more than times than I can Remember. I love the loading system which a sight to behold. It never fails to amaze me, watching those trains slide back and forth on and off of the track.

I understand that Premier won an award for designing that loading system. BTW, you get a slight sensation of lateral G's when the trains slide back and forth.
