hel no not s JUNIOR TA2k PGA was about to get a full size TA2k but wus canceled. the rumored from
www.thrillride.com said that they having only one coaster this year and said NO JUNIOR HYPER COASTER this year so it would of have been a junior hyper which would have been 175ft high! i think this rumor is true because it said on a banner in a job fair
Jeff, of course it's ridiculous. That would be kind of like saying Cornball Express will bankrupt Holiday World. Of course it won't -- that's just silly. Saying SFMW is going to put PGA in that much pain is just as silly.
(So is putting "junior" and "TA2K" in the same sentence.) :)
There is more to a park than just adding big rides. PGA will be fine.
My uncle is the PR director for PGA (Tim Chanaud) and there are already plans underway for a new woodie at PGA in 2002. He said that it will be located in the 50's area of the park in back of Rip Roaring Rapids. And as for this year, PGA wanted to target the family crowd and next year focus on adding a new coaster.

If a word of that is true, I guess you're uncle will be looking for a new job in the morning...

Given the expansion of tech buildings in the area, I would imagine that Paramount would make a fortune on real estate!
aww 2002 a woodie? i would like that but i still want pga to get atleast another coaster with a woodie like, B&M coaster of some sort or a HYPER from INTAMIN or GIOVa... o yea and i emailed PGA they said "Unfortunately we don't have any information on what attractions we
will try to obtain in 2002. The park normally doesn't start planning
for the
next seasons attractions until we are more into the summer. Thank you
for
your suggestion and we will take it into consideration. The purchasing
process for new rides is a very long process. Stay Tuned to our website
at"
so know one really knows yet 2002 should be bIG!!!!
Don't parks usually have their plans in a few years in advance?

They have their plans laid, usually (I can't help but wonder how much advance planning was--or wasn't-- done by Six Flags when they bought Sea World Ohio), but they don't necessarily want to tip off competitors to those plans. Thus, PGA's pleasant refusal to comment.

Yeah I think PGA will die and I also think that Cedar Point is going to sell Magnum and MF to sone park in Japan because they are sinking.

Hamburgers are only Hamburgers when people choose to call them Hamburgers.
Something great at PGA??!! They don't have a history. It's the park I've grown up with as a kid...and yet as soon as I was old enough to drive, I was down at SFMM inspite of the drive. Why? Because Kings Entertainment and then Paramount don't think it makes economic sense. They have been doing well catering to "families"...I don't see them changing course suddenly. I've been hearing talk of something great "going in next season" for over 20 years now. Forget it. It ain't happening...and Stealth is rotten!
Growing up with PGA myslef, I almost know that in spite of rides like Drop Zone, Sky Tower and other stuff like that, they can have something tall but only objects that don't take up alot of room, notice on all the rides that are big [ the few there are] They have lights to signal fro planes over head so I think maybe a hyper in 2004 but unfortinally a woodie in 2002
no theme park can be closed!!!! its impossible hehe PGA will survive
I think that PGA is a great park with some pretty good rides. I think i would prefer to go to PGA over SFMW because the atmosphere is still better. I think that the only way that SFMW could take away a lot of PGA's business would be to theme everything better than it is. And also when u go to SFMW the rides are all spread out and u have to walk for days to get to a certain attraction. At PGA they have the rides set up around the giant island in the center. SO all u have to do is go around it and hit all the rides. I do wish that they would have access to cut across the island at the center somewhere though.
i dont think that SFMW will bankrupt PGA because paramount is a large company so they're no gonna give up and drop PGA. I think PGA will strike back with maybe not a woodie but maybe a hyper from any company.
It is insane to think that PGA would close down. they are an excellent park, my family had a choice between SFMW and PGA and we chose PGA, that tells you a little something about it.
I would personally choose SFMW, but I think PGA is good for families. But MW can be good for families too. Animals.
ALL OF THE PARAMOUNT PARKS USUALLY DONT BUILD COASTERS EVERY YEAR LOOK AT KINGS ISLAND. THEY BUILD A COASTER AND THE NEXT YEAR FOCUS ON FAMILY ATTRACTIONS. THAT IS HOW THEY ARE SO SUCSESSFUL. I MEAN COASTERS A GREAT AND THEY DO MAKE OR BREAK A PARK BUT DIVERSITY IS EVEN BETTER. PGA IS JUST TRYING TO BE A WHOLE FAMILY EXPERIENCE INSTEAD OF ADULT OR COASTER ENTHUSIEST LIKE OURSELFS. COME ON JUST BECAUSE SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAINS IS GETTING THREE COASTERS DOESNT'T MEAN PGA WILL GO BANKUPT OR HAVE A HARD TIME. SFMM NEWS COASTERS ARE JUST A PUSH TO GET AHEAD OF CP. AND AS WE ALL KNOW 1 MF IS BETTER THAN ALL THE KIDDIE COASTERS YOU CAN BUILD. IT IS QUALITY NOT QUANITY SO IT ISN'T GOING TO AFFECT PGA
When PGA installed Top Gun, Invertigo, Drop Zone, and Stealth they are preety much assured of staying around!
If PGA could just put something in like say "Ghost Rider", then I'd be happy forever...they'd not need to build any more coasters. Speaking of which, I don't know how KBF could ever top it...

Aaaaahhhhhhrrrrggghhhhhhhaaaaccckkk!!!!
I would like to know how CE would bankrupt HW since it is being built at IB. The parks are over 200 miles apart, and have totally different personalities. They are not connected and do not pay each others bills.
