Will Gemini Ever Change?

Thats one side of Gemini running double that and you got your capacity.
Plus, if you go backwards, you miss the world's greatest head-chopper effect on the blue train!

I have personally clocked Gemini at 3,400 PPH running all six trains. I think it is capable of easily doing 3,600 PPH. I chatted briefly with Ron Toomer once and he claimed that in 1979 they had it running at 4,000 PPH. I find that a little hard to believe because with the 2:38-2:56 ride time, there just isn't enough time to go much faster than 3,600.

It's a little slower now with the seat belts, but still in the low-to-middle 3,000's when running all six.

Arrow's site also has this ride classified as a mine train. I read this description somewhere, but forget where, but its accurate. Its a mine train on steroids.

I found this the most fun coaster at CP when it races. It has a big enough drop (120 ft), good hills, and the infamous headchopper. But the racing is what makes it fun. The ride itself is only so-so when run solo. It would be awesome with wood tracking.

Only thing that would improve the ride other than than would have been if the turns dropped so they were not so slow, but that would take away from the handslapping.

If you want lower turns, intense helixes, and good airtime, you want to ride excalibur.

I think it would be pretty cool to have it run without the wooden dressing.:)

What in the World are you talking about?

Why Must they use Mulch? It smells like pooh!
Goober, the Gemini is a steel coaster with steel supports. It doesn't use the wood structure for support,it's just there for looks.
If they(CP)where to ever change anything on it,I'd think it'd be pretty cool if they got rid of the wooden structure.
Where do you get that from, it's a steel coaster with wooden supports. Next time that your at Cedar Point take another look.

This might be an extremely stupid question, so excuse me if it is. But!

Is Gemini the only Arrow Mine Train coaster, using wooden supports, that isn't (how do I phrase this...) themed to or designed like a mine train? I mean, for all intents and purposes, wasn't Cedar Point's intention to build the world's tallest, highest capacity coaster around? (As opposed to being a mine train ride moms and pops can ride with their kiddies, that is.)

Excalibur at Valley Fair is a single hyper-mine-train like Gemini.

Tremors, my 100th coaster.
Ghostrider, ridden over 100 times.
Goober, try looking under and between the two tracks.
When you do you'll see no wood, just steel beams.
Going up lift the lift you can really get a good look of the steel beams. It's like that throughout the ride.
I've also seen pictures of it without the wood, when it was first being built.
It didn't show the whole ride, just the turn around section where the Witch's Wheel is at.
It was on a web site, don't remember which one.:(
What ever you say since your the Gemini Expert.

After riding Gemini for the first time This last Tuesday, I think I can say that it is my favorite Arrow (and the smoothest Arrow too). It really makes me ticked off that they don't race the American Eagle hardly any more after riding Gemini.
